@Flipflopsodapop15 no actually not. Gel is used to do fingerwaves and the first ingredient is water. I wet my hair because this style (fingerwaves) is mostly a wet style plus it's easier to do on my hair when it is wet.
Beatiful good. You have really good skin complextion as well. Im a medium caramel skin color with brown(looks black from a distance) hair. Its medium length so i wont be able to do that hairstyle but its very pretty! :)

the reason your hair is very short is because you put all those alcohol based gels and what not and the alcohol in the product is breaking your hair off so i advise you to not use any of those products just buy sulfur8 to stop the breakage and help it grow

@sarafranco100 and just for the record Prostyle black gel is alcohol free and it has protein in it which actually strengthens the hair. So her style is actually more protective than most short styles now. Sulfur 8 doesn't stop breakage alone, moisture, deep conditioning, and protective styling stops breakage.

@Pammella1313 to be honest I think it depends on the style you are trying to create and instead buying cheap gel read the ingredients. I use Ecostyler w/ Olive Oil that you can buy at Sally's. It's in a green container and it's alcohol free. I am trying to stay away from alcohol for my natural hair but sometimes you can't help it.
So to answer your question because I went off on a tangent...it depends on the style you are trying to create.
@agarkeema The next time you decide to call someone an idiot, remember that the word u is not spelled u. and if you are starting a sentence you capitalize the first letter.
Also, you do NOT need gel to finger wave. In Milady's Textbook for Cosmetology, even Pivot Point, it suggests using a waving lotion or even a leave-in conditioner. It also says you do not have to use them at all. In fact, in Cosmetology School it is taught without the use of these and not using these is preferred.
I know you only do hairstyles for a certain type of hair, I'm mexican and enjoy doing hairstyles for others, especially on films. Anyway I just want to say that you are like the first video i came across (and I watched a lot) that did it right, made it look easy, and made it look good! Thanks

@Pammella1313 to be honest I think it depends on the style you are trying to create and instead buying cheap gel read the ingredients. I use Ecostyler w/ Olive Oil that you can buy at Sally's. It's in a green container and it's alcohol free. I am trying to stay away from alcohol for my natural hair but sometimes you can't help it.
So to answer your question because I went off on a tangent...it depends on the style you are trying to create.

@agarkeema The next time you decide to call someone an idiot, remember that the word u is not spelled u. and if you are starting a sentence you capitalize the first letter.
Also, you do NOT need gel to finger wave. In Milady's Textbook for Cosmetology, even Pivot Point, it suggests using a waving lotion or even a leave-in conditioner. It also says you do not have to use them at all. In fact, in Cosmetology School it is taught without the use of these and not using these is preferred.

They spend so much on weaves and products and the excuse that oh they do it cause its easier doesnt fly. Sadly the Media shows skiiny light skinned black women with straight hair and this is what all balck women sadly strive for but fail miserable and end up with short picky unhealthy hair.
