  • Good job sir...i like your cover. I play these songs too because Bread is the best ballad band s for me...they're very very romantics.

  • wonderful man, Bx

  • This is an absolutely stunning performance, Larry. You've captured everything this song is supposed to be.

  • "A Short short ride in a city cab

Another Short walk and a Central Park tab

Seeing the Town and one final hookup

5 Napkin Burger and a champagne cup! Come back to me, bitch baby!"

  • Really very nice job!! liked the snow comment Ilve next door to Tahoe U KNOW!!! Harrah's talent show soon think i'll do this song! Thanks Podline66

  • This is quite an excellent cover when you consider this man is not in a recording studio with all the technical gadgets on a mixing board etc. Good job!

  • Well done, nice voice and I like the backup guitar too.

  • damn. Dan peek can sing bread songs. joking. good cover man. i finally got the chords right. THANK YOU

  • Oh my god you did a fantastic job of a truly beautiful and timeless song. LOVE your vocals. Magnificent.

  • Damn you sing it very well. One of my favorite songs! TYVM!!!!

  • my dad sung this song all the time. best writers - breadd.

good job here. what sort of mic is that?

  • can I ask where you got those white cannisters on your counter there in the back? I really like those.

  • VERY GOOD, GREAT JOB, I DONT KNOW HOW IS NOT THAT ORIGINAL ...WHY??????????????????????????????THIS IS MORE SIMILAR...BUT I DONT UNDERSTAND, IT IS DIFFICULT TO FIND THE BREAD'S SONG....

  • great job :3

  • nice to see podline back in youtube!!!! you rock as always.... keep it up man!

  • The song definitely helps, but man, you really made a good cover of it. Congratulations!

  • very very nice. your voice is soothing. please post more, would love to hear them......

  • This guy is really cool,He has a goaty ,He really is an individual

  • Fuck off asshole

  • Great job!!! Very clever!

  • Oh dude you nailed it. Those chord changes and harmony and that beautiful, strong and easy voice of yours. Job well, well done dude. What I got from the original--that sweet sadness--you did it man. Goosebumps.

  • I love it. I am bummed because I can't find Bread's version. But your cover is very good. I love how you have done both guitar parts and the vocals are very good. I like your voice. I think you handled even the parts where David hit the very high notes, very well. Excellent guitar duo. This 45 was part of my collection in 1970 when I was an 11 year old and had baby sitting money to burn. I can't listen to it without my eyes getting all watery with nostalgia.

  • I really like the sound of your voice on this, and how obviously you are feeling it. Great job!

  • I like this effort. It is hard to cover David Gates 'cause he hits the high notes effortlessly, yet has a gentle but positive approach to the music.

    Good job!

  • A good cover. David Gates would be proud. :)

  • Love this one! Somehow I missed it when you first put it up.

  • sorry, meant to say "very moving". although "very moon" has a certain poetic quality, I guess.

  • Excellent job on this song Larry! Love it.

  • Very moon. I love the strum of your guitar attack and your voice is both sweet and bluesy. I've loved this song since I was 11 years old . . . thanks.

  • Outstanding version of a great Bread song!

R.I.P. James Griffin and Mike Botts, we miss you guys!

  • nice song...great cover...!

  • Kick ass job dude!

  • Superb!

  • Wow nice voice .................

  • +++Nice +++

  • Really good! Another favorite song I haven't heard in a while. LOL at the age comments..your voice doesn't show it! Guitars are wonderful, too.

Just saw "The Goodbye Girl" on TCM; have you considered doing a cover of that David Gates song?

  • Outstanding Larry :) <3 (as always)

  • no snow in Northeast Pa, dont hurt your back shovelling, sounds great as always

  • Larry.......DAMN good cover:)......Your voice and guitar play doing Bread is the finest sound these ears could take in.....Your musical skill and love for performing puts you, in my opinion, at the front of the class....ione marie

  • What can I say? ....... Great!!!!!

  • May I make a request? While you are turning out the great music of bread, how about baby im a want you? You really do these songs with such great conviction it brings back alot of great memories for me. back to a time when life was so simple, yet so full of emotions. Best of Bread,,,,,did it get any better than that when "sitting" on the couch with your girlfriend in the basement of her parents home??? Damn those were the days!! Thanks Larry!!!Love your music...

  • Love Bread....and you do it awesomely ...and l don't care if that's a real word or not....LOL! More Bread please...spoil us some more : ) You must be getting the snow that we aren't...Toronto has had it really easy this year...so far!

  • I always like the way your voice resonates the emotive quality of David Gates' lyrics...another fine performance.

  • yea it does have that Gates quality..Love this

Pass the doob an feel it..Magic

  • An extremely evocative performance; you bring every emotional nuance of the song into play with that voice of yours. Gentle fow, powerful rush, soft, forceful - it's all there. And your playing...like no one else, Larry. The feeling behind your music and the quality of what you do is unbeatable.

  • @mnnorthcountrygirl1 I am guitar enthusiast for sucha very long time now....around 30 years... and I have to say.... Thank you for making this video....I enjoyed every minute of it.
