pple gotta chill, just chill.....'can you play, can you play..' do u really think thats gunna make any difference...pple bring HUGE signs and are in the front row and THAT rarely elicits a response....acting like superfan when you meet a guy like dave matthews, yeah you just look stupid........and yes, ive met him
im a huge dmd fan but give me a break there are grown men saying i love you and constantly repeating his name o dave i tried to get to you last night like give it a rest id rather just shake his hand and be like hey nice to meet you hows it goin rather than have this school girl obsession with having something signed..can anyone agree with me...and dont type back sayin o your not a true dmb fan cuz i am i just dont think i would lower myself to a 13 year old girl who just met brttney spears
i completely agree. And for example, I am a 20 year old guy and Tim Reynolds came to my home town and play an acoustic show. I seriously started shaking and my heart was beating a million miles an hour when I saw him walk up and get some stupid coffee. But I just walked up to him and got some coffee of my own and just said, Hey it's great of you to come hear i appreciate it and good luck tonight. I didin't want to be an annoying little fuck.
@nhjkl9 Yeah, these guys are acting like little bitches, and I'm sure Dave didnt want to give attention to people like that. I'm sure Dave appreciates his "fans" but cant stand "Fanatics" He prob got on the bus and said, "Did you here those men screaming my name like little girls? What Bafoonery!" I've seen DMB lots of times, but if I ever got a chance, I'd just shake his hand, and if I had the chance, I'd ask him to sign one of my guitars, but that's about it.
@nhjkl9 I agree wholeheartedly. At the Albany show back in Nov., I wrote a note on the back of my ticket ("Dave, this is my LAST STOP for the fall tour!") and the incredibly nice security guard slid it onstage for me. When Dave came on he saw us pointing at it and picked it up and grinned, and then leaned down and shook me and my best friend's hands. I shouted "Thanks so much!" and he gave me a nod and smile as he walked away. I appreciated it much more than I could ever appreciate an autograph.
Leave the poor guy alone! I know he has to please the fans, but IMO I think the only thing he needs to do is keep making amazing music and doing all the amazing charity work. He can't sign every autograph and dedicate something for every fan that's why he mixes it up so much on stage, so he can try to please everyone, leave the guy alone and don't get pissed when he doesn't talk to you, he doesn't owe any you anything, just let him do his thing, if he's having a bad day, big deal. we all do
dave...dave! i tried to get you last night! lol

The word "Dave" was said 17 times in this video.
What is that? A 50-second time span?
This must be some kind of record.

If I ever get the chance to meet him I'm not asking for an autograph. I don't need a signature to make myself feel like a better fan..
