I like the story line a lot. If you were to remake this (or sell it to MGM) so that some real voice actors could take a crack at it I think it would be totally watchable. As it is now I'm very distracted by the lack of emotion in the voice actors performances and the low-budget animation. As a self-made project I think you've created something really spectacular. This looks like an animatic, used to construct a final film. But that being said.. you have a bright future. The sequences, blocking, ideas, and story are very strong. It's very impressive work, .. you're camera moves and composition are especially strong.

Very good work for a homemade movie, dude. I even want to learn how to use After Effects to make my own films using the cities I created with Sketchup (if it's possible). But I must say, the voice acting lacks energy. With proper acting, it would be perfect.
Story seems really cool, but the voice acting is on xanax, the animation is stuck in a jar of molasses and it's lacking in sound fx/BGM to fill the void in between the sleepy dialogue.
I like the actual character/structure design and visual FX and compositing. If it were edited better (You could edit out frames to speed the animation up considerably) I think it could be really good.
Either way, for a one man show, it's really ambitious and obviously a labor of love. Congrats on finishing it.

@christar108 Yes, it's won 5 awards from various film festivals, including the "biggest" award in film, the Mississauga Independent Film Festival ( the award is an actual huge 16mm film reel... so it is in fact the "biggest" award you can get...)
I liked only 1 voice actor, good film overall, the animation , sound effects were really nice. The other voice actors... meh.. You should get some better voice actors and remake it.
Everything in this movie was awesome except for the HORRID voice acting! There is no reason you should let something like this be bogged down by bad voiceovers. I can understand somebody who is new to voice acting, but the main girl sounds like she doesn't care! It sounds like she's reading her essay to the class.

I'd suggest you "open source" the resources and try to get an online team to redo some of the shots, and perhaps call for volunteer voice actors to redo the voices.
Great universe, great story line and superb editing. I say you should get a grant to make the movie the way you see it, no budget limitation. I really can see this made in a live action movie too. Great directorial vision.
This is fantastic, in every sense of the word. At first I was a little surprised by emotionless voice acting, but after watching a few more of your films I noticed it really reflects your style.
i really loved the animation and sound affects and music. But the voices really didn't impress me at all. There's no emotion in them at all and sometimes sentences seem to have been cut and pasted together. But apart from that, the overall quality of the film means its a great watch. 9/10

I enjoyed EVERY aspect of this. I liked the voices and the sounds. The voices were flat and devoid of emotion but that may have been your intention. I felt it actually stylized the film. Humorous how this is your art work and you have 'armchairs' out there criticizing your style. How things look and sound is your prerogative as the artist. Agreed. Voice acting could have been a bit better. The qualities didn't seem to match. Some were nice and others sounded bad. The storyline was super typical nazi era escape the badguys selfless acts crap. A better story line would have made this fine. I watched 10mins of this. Animations should have been EVER so slightly faster. Great concept, but the anatomy of human arms needs to a little bit longer to be proportional and more emotion put into the voice-overs. Other than that, this is an amazing animation.
For your next project though, I recommend using a human skeleton reference sheet to base animations on.
Yeah, the iconographic Picasso image of the dove drawn in simple thin lineal stroke was no good either. He should have sketched in a bit of detail and made a better effort at it! The style of the voices, the walking, everything else that has been criticized here I am taking as a distinct style. A different style, granted possibly not the same style as the previous diet of animations the other commenting viewers have watched. It is understood we all make the mistake of trying to force the real world around us change to how we think it should be, but suggesting the same with an animated world. That sure is funny. I do agree that people ned to learn how to spell though.

The voice acting, sound effects and the short arms on the people bugged me.
The quantity of work in the props, vehicles, scenery, visual effects and just how much physical detail there is, this is very impressive.
I can see there is a lot to this movie and that it is built to be epic, it's a just a bit difficult to watch all of it in one sitting.

i really loved the animation and sound affects and music. But the voices really didn't impress me at all. There's no emotion in them at all and sometimes sentences seem to have been cut and pasted together. But apart from that, the overall quality of the film means its a great watch. 9/10

I enjoyed EVERY aspect of this. I liked the voices and the sounds. The voices were flat and devoid of emotion but that may have been your intention. I felt it actually stylized the film. Humorous how this is your art work and you have 'armchairs' out there criticizing your style. How things look and sound is your prerogative as the artist. Nobody's face looks like a Picasso painting but that doesn't diminish his art. This was unique and I appreciated the originality of each of your choices.

Agreed. Voice acting could have been a bit better. The qualities didn't seem to match. Some were nice and others sounded bad. The storyline was super typical nazi era escape the badguys selfless acts crap. A better story line would have made this fine. I watched 10mins of this. Animations should have been EVER so slightly faster. Sound effects could have been used from other movies, shows etc. I bet this was a lot of work and I respect that. this is just constructive criticism.

The voices seem lethargic, it becomes a little annoying rather quickly. Also they appear malformed because of the short arms. It all appears to conform to a very distinct or even personal style but I can't seem to get past it's particular oddity.

Great concept, but the anatomy of human arms needs to a little bit longer to be proportional and more emotion put into the voice-overs. Other than that, this is an amazing animation.
For your next project though, I recommend using a human skeleton reference sheet to base animations on.

Yeah, the iconographic Picasso image of the dove drawn in simple thin lineal stroke was no good either. He should have sketched in a bit of detail and made a better effort at it! I don't even care about this film or Picasso but you are a bunch of preconditioned dumb ass idiots aren't you!? (insert interrobang here).

The style of the voices, the walking, everything else that has been criticized here I am taking as a distinct style. A different style, granted possibly not the same style as the previous diet of animations the other commenting viewers have watched. It is understood we all make the mistake of trying to force the real world around us change to how we think it should be, but suggesting the same with an animated world. That sure is funny. I do agree that people ned to learn how to spell though.

Good as far as the story and setting goes but the execution is lacking.
The flow is poor, the animation is passable and the lack of ambient sounds makes it sound dead.
I would love to see this remade by some anime study that has the people and the budget.
