Good video. Shaving with a double edged safety razor is probably the best way of avoiding ingrowing hairs. If you are shaving with a cartridge razor like a mach 3 then you increase the chances of ingrowing hairs.

as a female i think it's great you're doing beauty videos for lads. i never understood why some guys still perceive taking care of yourself and thereby also improving your looks as a girly thing. also i wanted to say that having naturally very fine, soft hair often contributes to getting ingrowth because if your hairs are fine they bend easier, making it harder for them to pierce through the skin when regrowing after a shave.

I used to suffer with these for years, Use a sharp razor, wet your face with hot water, shave with the hair direction, use long strokes with the razor and don't keep going over the area, sometimes you can hook the hair out if you can see it, but basically try not to keep touching it and it will heal up quite quickly.

@girllovesmakeup one product you could try is paula'c choice bha lotion. bha is salycilic acid. if you go on the website you can email them questions . p.s salycilic acid is usually in teenage spot creams and some face creams for treating blemishes and acne. try using an exfoliating body scrub on your arms,and are you sure they are ingrown hairs on your arms? cos some ladies do get those small sometimes red bumps on their upper arms

@girllovesmakeup are you sure they are ingrown hairs? usually you won't get a lot of ingrown hairs unless you shave or wax the area so if you're not doing that then it might be another condition such as keratosis pilaris which is due to excess keratin. Be sure you know what the problem is before you start putting salicylic acid problems on it - the acid won't be good if it's an issue with sensitivity or something. xxShivvyxx

some people have very curly facial hair or other hair and that sometimes causes ingrown hairs. I usually push part of the hair out and then pull the rest with tweezers and all is good.
