Then later i did a couple years at a Huge Complex outside Knoxville TN called Sheriffs Detention Facility. I went there for 2 weeks until my bond was lowered, later found NOT guilty of all charges. But cook county jail will make you want to stop doing crime(if you live a life of one).
It is no fun place to be. And while there are some fair guards, over the mass majority treat you as guilty until proven innocent. And the saddest part is over 60% of the county have people with a $200 to $800 bond, but can not afford to get out. Costs the tax payers more to feed/house/watch them, but that is life.

Are you asking me? I would think that all depends on where you do time. I was only in a Penal Farm when I was 19, that was rough. Then later i did a couple years at a Huge Complex outside Knoxville TN called Sheriffs Detention Facility. There it would depend on what rumors you talk about.Sex happens but I dont think people get raped there. I did 3 years in and out and it never happened around me.

I was just arrested for Public Drunk and this cop started calling me fagot and shit (I had my hair dyed blue) and next thing I know he was wailing me with a big huge flashlight, one of those that are like a foot long and have 15 batteries. I dont know about no reason at all but Ive seen guys get roughed up for little or no reason. Punched for talking in the halway, etc. One guy that was really heavy couldnt make it to the top bunk and they smacked him in the legs and ass making him try.That was cruel and ugly.Just shit like that, that just aint right.One kid got his face smashed into his food at chow for trading food. Absolutely no giving or trading food in chow cause they think people are taking it from ya.

I went there for 2 weeks until my bond was lowered, later found NOT guilty of all charges. But cook county jail will make you want to stop doing crime(if you live a life of one).
It is no fun place to be. And while there are some fair guards, over the mass majority treat you as guilty until proven innocent. And the saddest part is over 60% of the county have people with a $200 to $800 bond, but can not afford to get out. Costs the tax payers more to feed/house/watch them, but that is life.

"Drugs" encompasses anything from pot to PCP to heroin. Ok, so that's not a very useful statistic because "drugs" is such a general category.
Then, the quantum leap of logic: "WELL OVER 60% w/ murder charges use drugs" meaning... what, exactly? That correlation is causation? Perhaps they should use more of the psych drugs that CCJ fails to give them, regardless of their RXes on the outside?

I understand this info all too well. I deal with the Cook County Jail for a living, and I know all too well the idiot pitfalls of both the "misunderstood outcasts in need of therapy" mentality that you conveniently boil down to a "lib" perspective, and also the "don't spoil no criminals" mentality that I won't bother to associate with a stereotype.
The fact remains that the Jail is not in compliance with Federal law as far as how inmates should be treated, even if the reporter is your straw man

but this doesnt mean i advocate corporal punishment. just pointing out an uncomfortable truth. if an inmate knew that if he flooded his cell, that he would get 10 deep scaring lashes w/ a whip, he may do it once, but after knowing the sting of pain, would very UNlikely EVER do it again. george washington found this with his soldiers. they feared his lash more so than threat of execution.
