can anyone help me, i have the normal one not the oc one, i ahve this card for i think 2 months now, ok so my idle fan speed is used to be around 35% and around 59c for the temperature, recently i downloaded and installed new driver for 9 series, and theres something super odd happened, my idle fan speed became 52%, is that possible that new driver change idle fan speed, i thought the sensor located in the gpu??

i wouldent worry about what it says the fan speed% is. temps arent too high and drivers arent gona affect temperatures

yes man, the latest driver isnt complete and has a lot of bug, using that driver, when let says you turn on your pc and your fan speed is 35% and when your play games, the gpu sensor increase the fan speed to let say 70%, normally using the previous driver, after you stop playing, the fan speed going to decrease gradually, but using that driver, it stuck on that high speed make the sound so noisy, i swiched to my previous version and it fixed

if you get the same problem like me that when after you playing game the fan doesnt want to reduce, that mean your version is the one that i had before, if its not the case, that mean nvidia has create a new driver to fix that issue, i remember for sure that i have 190, but forget the digits after, currently im still using version 186.18, works well, and i dont get any of problem using this driver,

One of the best video card out there right now. Run any game right now like nothing. I got mine using a Core 2 duo 3.0 and 4gb of memory with vista for dx10 compatible. Games on max setting and high resolution widescreen run at 60, 40 and 30 fps depends. Crysis 25 to 35 fps on max settings. All this without SLI! This video card is amazing and I got mine for just $189.00 Awesome! recommended!!!

Im trying to decide as to which card to get. I have a couple questions. Which is better: GT, GTX, or GTX+? Should I look at core clock and memory clock to determine power? well here in edmonton i was buying computer parts 2 days ago and i was going to get the 9800GTX+ but they said they stoped making it, there are some stores who havn't sold all their stock of 9800GTX+ but I couldnt find any, so i had to go with a different card which was a bit more expencive, so i bought 2 9800GT 1GB edition, just kuz it was the most simular card that they had, plays crysis in very high so im not complaining ^_^

On Low res I have 9800 GTX+ OC And I don't think it offers everything it says nothing is being bottlenecked and I can't max out Crysis Warhead I think it might be the Drivers and the reason I say you made a great purchase over mine is because they stopped making working graphics drivers for the BFG 9800 GTX+oc So in conlusion I say DON'T BUY THIS CARD.!

HERES A HARDWARE QUESTION FOR ALL YOU GEEKS OUT THERE LIKE ME:- im thinking about upgrading my comp and i have around $200 bucks to do so. Now- my hardware right now is some what a high powered rig but with highly limited upgrade paths because of the shitty motherboard. I have an Intel G chipset which is great for multimedia but shitty for gaming- only 1 PCI Express 16X 2.0 slot. I have an Intel Quad Core with an 8800GT SuperClocked GPU running at 730/1800/2.00Ghz.

I'd go for the evga 780i motherboard first and stick with the 8800 GT for awhile until you have enough money for a GTX 260 Core 216, 9800 GTX+ or an HD 4870. If you're going to get that evga motherboard, you might wanna want to stick to Nvidia gpus if you plan to SLI in the future.

You know what Minime, im an ATI fan to, the only reason why i bought the 8800GT SuperClocked was because it was destroying everything else at the time. It was basically an 8800GTX in a smaller form factor. These cards overclock like crazy. Im running my 8800's at 735MHZ Core/ 1850 Shaders/ 2.2Ghz memory.

I want to upgrade and buy either a EVGA 780i 3 Way SLI motherboard which is around 150 bucks or get an ATI HD 4870 1Gb Gddr5 Graphics card. Both would give me significant performance increases. The motherboard would let me overclock my CPU to much higher spec which would give my GPU a huge boost along with my memory etc which would give my whole system a boost in speed. Then again an HD 4870 would be a nice speed upgrade in games. Remember im a hardcore PC gamer, i use my pc for games.

i have this card and it is more then powerful enough to run all those games on the highest settings, except of course crysis, it will run everything at high on a 22 inch monitor. you could even crank the aa up a little. it still looks awsome on high.

yes it will, But make sure u update your bios for your motherboard! The only motherboards that dont allout pcx 2.0 on 1.1 are those by VIA chipsets like the p4m900 which r cheap. If u have a p5, p35, or 680i or watever u can run any videocard thats pcx 2.0! u can run it
