I think the lesson we can all learn from this video is that; if we're feeling suicidal, it's totally alright to kill a middle-eastern street vendor to help us regain our lust for life.
@StvMusicOfficial Yeah. I know him personally as a friend and have sat and played on the drums with him playing the guitar and singing this song, is quite an experience.
@vivalasagne9 So i think that the person in the song has done something wrong that would have hurt someones feelings if they ever found out. The person is aware of this, and the thought of it haunts him. "Kick it but it wont go away. In the video there is a man who tries to kill himself, but end up killing(hurting) someone innocent. So even though this person would love to get this thing" of his chest, he will end up hurting someone who didn't do anything wrong. "Put it back where you found it"
he is smiling cause of the irony of the cart pushing salesman, and the guy tried killing himself its dark humor but in a way i makes sense that suicide hurts more than the person dieing .
this is copying, slightly, a short called 'protest' directed by Steve Katz, filmed in 1999. In which elephants are falling off sky scrappers in slow motion, while a woman watches in shock. The movie ends on ground level, with a piece of paper floating on the puddles on the street.

i wachted this video like a 100 times. it's sooo great. i love every second of it. not only because of the song, which is so beautyful, but also because of the wonderful and detailed pictures...it's just perfect!! well, now i'm gonna watch it another 1000 times...
I hope the morality isn't meant to be something ughhh like "suicide only hurts other people" or something like that. I'm not sure, maybe i should think harder on it.
Radiohead is an annoying band. Every damn member of it is so talented it should be impossible. It's hard not to love them though. And what a great song and a video!
@WirelessShuffle really? i guess it's totally subjective, but NO WAY is this better than Harrowdown Hill / Analyse / The Eraser / Cymbal Rush etc. i do like it tho...

@fperdomo Wow I STRONGLY disagree, 15 Step alone is a work of pure genius. No disrespect to Selway but Radiohead is just... you can't beat it dude. They create a light at the end of this depressing tunnel that is today's music.
@mxl812 im a songwriter first and a fan of pop hooks that are quirky... my big issue with radiohead is that starting with Kid A.. they threw normal song structures out the door and started making avant garde artsy shit ... heres the deal... do you really think that anything on Kid A, Amnesiac, or Hail to the Thief works with just thom on acoustic guitar the way everthing on the bends and ok computer works.. seriously..
Radiohead became modern art after kid A.. and i personally find it lame.
I always thought Selway was a great drummer, and it's so good to discover he moves so well "out of his normal league"... it's like a football champion who tries his hand at tennis and... he works his way to the finals of Wimbledon!
