I would also like to say this after thinking about it for a minute: The purpose of this may be to visually SEE the sacrifice in question as its suffering and to feel bad, to feel awful that this is the cause of your actions, and to then enforce not committing it again. a) It's a goddamn chicken, they have the mental facilities of... well, of a chicken!

b) That being said, this does bug me a little but more so seems like a waste. While I'm sure that in the proper reference frame of whatever religion this fellow subscribes to, it's chickens well spent.

c) Which brings me to this: If it's going to die anyways, separate the brain from the body. Kill it instantly instead of letting it bleed out.

@lorax2013 Its a tradition to kill the chicken this way for preparations for Yom Kippur, It is a way to symbolize that we pass our sins and suffering to the chicken. Do not judge us Jews for our traditions and faith. Keep your own boundaries.

I'm so glad I don't participate in such deception. God is a loving God. The animals are His creation, why would God want such barbaric and gruesome actions to glorify Him? or make atonement for sins?
