I grew up listening to all those 80s shrapnel records dudes and Yngwie and stuff. Im really into Kiko Loureiro and Tony Macalpine lately. Shawn Lane, Chris Poland, Joe Stump, Ron Thal and Hizaki are all dudes worth checking out if you're not already familiar with em. Im sure you know Jason Becker and MAB.

@nneevveerrmmoorree I was more familiar with Loomis before I ever heard Syu or Galneryus and I knew he was a beast on the guitar. But I gotta say that when you are as good as Jeff Loomis or Syu or John Petrucci or the other bazillion virtuosos out there, it really just comes down to personal opinion of the better songwriters. And I personally just love Syu's songwriting. It's impossible to say who the "better" guitar players are when they are at this level of skill.

He's using a pinch harmonic with a weird vibrato i think O.o I just finished learning the song a week ago so i have to fine tune before being able to throw stuff like that in X3

he's very practiced and is fully aware of what he's doing, he probably put this song together riff by riff playing each one unitll he got it played perfect, there is vibrato but the one big thing, he's actually playing with feeling and trying to do everything right, not just playing it mechanically everything sounds so much better with a little bit of effort and pinch harmonix after a palm mute xD
