Stratosphere would probably be a lot harder to make, due to gravity and such.

This will never happen in two years. First of all it doesn't make sense economically (somewhere around $5 billion construction, research and implementation) and a quarter of a billion dollars to launch a group of people up to the hotel. They say it will be $4 million for each member which would take eons to gain actual income! This will only be even possible in another 20-30 years. But very cool indeed!

I fully see this as a reality...I think the poop ends up in a big central garden as rich soil, and in the spaceport one hotel lobby will be a giant living fig tree, with all manner of life clinging to its shade and majesty, small flocks of birds like firetail finches, even ants! a fully recyclable enclosed sub-tropical bio system for one massive tree in high orbit is totally possible!

@poorsillyboy This is just like the 1998 Movie, ZENON GIRL OF THE 21st CENTURY. (based on a novel) it's amazing they predicted in the book we would have by now video calling, tablet pcs(like the iPad) and a space hotel kinda like space station. Such an excitement for Spain as well.
