Please do rinse the filter before you brew to get rid of the paper taste. White filters give much less paper taste. You need to rinse the brown paper 3 times more to get the same neutral taste but still then the flavor of the coffee is different and not as crisp.

I just bought 1 of these and it made me a believer.
You can make a crazy good cup of coffee with this simple pour over.
