We had the same problem with the "freebie" we got from Murray McMurray, an Americauna...so mean! We had to dispatch him last week. Since our birds are penned in instead of caged he had no fat on him whatsoever. Very lean! But his meat was on the tough side.

Thats a nice rooster you got there. I had to shoot one of the ones I have because it kept attacking my hens.
