  • Great stuff John!

  • 'freshest is always bestest'

  • Fantastic!

    tnx

  • I'm glad you didn't hack the lemon verbina. The more varieties that are planted and the older the garden, the more perrenials become prominent. We inadvertantly become perrenial gardeners, once again we are part of nature. Isn't ecology fun!

  • @jgfergus True carbon dioxide & sparkling water in excess, aren't good. Excess build up of carbon dioxide would cause smooth muscle to relax, including heart, and you'd pass out before lethal. However, you could die from fluid volume overload and electrolyte imbalance, prior to consuming enough sparkling water to be carbon dioxide lethal. As John said, "what are the alternatives"? Moderation is key. Also I don't think he said drink 1/2 body weight daily, that would surly be lethal.

  • I try to drink as much water every day as I can but wow half your body weight. Man I would be spending most of my life pissing LOL

  • @jsbattlenet

Maybe I missed it but I didn't hear John say you should drink 1/2 your body weight in water. That would be utter nonsense and put extreme pressure on your kidneys. No one needs to drink more water than their natural thirst calls for. Those eating a SAD (cooked food) diet will desire more water than a raw fooder because cooked foods have had most of their water content cooked out of them. Nature's best water is from ripe, raw fruits eaten alone on an empty stomach.

  • @jgfergus -----> Yep you missed it . He talks about it at around 3.07 in the video.

  • @jsbattlenet

Ok....he actually says to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces. So a 160lb person should drink 80 oz of water. That would be prudent for someone eating little high water content fruits and veggies and mostly cooked food. Myself, I rarely am thirsty for additional water because I eat lots of raw fruits and veggies. I do drink water if I am on a long bike ride or hike.

  • @jsbattlenet He didn't say drink half your body weight in pounds, he said half your body weight in ounces, so a 150-pound person should drink 75 oz. One cup is 8 oz, so that would mean a little more than 9 cups of water, which translates into about 2 quarts. Even conventional sources often recommend 8 cups per day.

  • @mamcauley ----> and nether did I . how could anyone drink Pounds of water. LOL lord or lord 75 oz of water is alot. thats about 9 - 8oz bottle of water every day. thats alot.

  • @mamcauley ----> and nether did I . how could anyone drink Pounds of water. LOL lord or lord --> thats alot of water .

  • Thumbs up if you think John should make a cooking segment called "Cooking Your Greens"!

  • When you said R.O. Water... I was thinking Regular Old Water haha

  • John, if we were stranded on an Island I would eat you because you are the most nutrient dense human. Thanks

  • Thanks John! For those of you with a real sweet tooth look into using Stevia. Most garden centers are selling this plant or you can find a source online that sells the bags og the freshly ground herb.

  • U are Bustin Ass to get Laid by your female friend.... U rock ... she better give it up ,lol.....

  • will be trying this soon

  • Great natural tea ideas John. Thanks!

  • I must be one of John's biggest fans. Was so excited he read & answered my question... I took a nap and dreamed he was dancing lol. However, in my dream, I was watching him dance in a video haha! I must need more Essense water & herbs.

  • Saw background of company origin on cnbc- basically a mom took water and fruits and veggies floating in it and served it to kids and was a success. thus hint was born

  • wow thanks !! this would be wonderful with a big fat steak and potato !!!

  • Soylent Green comes to mind! hahaha

  • John - would you recommend cutting the herbs into strips and putting in a sache and dropping that into a bottle of water and sunning that? Do you think that would distribute more of the essential oils from the leaves where you slice them?

  • Thanks! ت

  • Nice! This sounds like it would be great to serve at a garden party. I really want to have a garden party to show people how great having a garden is, and all the benefits one can get from having a garden.

  • wow I love it! thanks brother John

  • I am growing my greens because I am juicing my fruits and veggies check out my videos I have lost over 35 pounds in 30 days

  • I have heard that drinking R.O. water on a regular basis is bad for you because it will leach the minerals out of your body.

  • Yes, I have heard that. Thus, I have the choice of three different levels of filtration at my sink. I have also heard that R.O. or Distilled water is better for you than water with minerals because it is "pure". That being said, I rarely drink my R.O. water and mainly use it for recipe preparation where I just want pure water.

  • great video!

  • Might be a dumb question... But, why do you have 3 filters on your sink? Wouldn't the RO do everything the other 2 filters do?

  • I was once told there are no such thing as dumb questions... Just dumb answers.. I have three different filter setups for specific needs. The main filter removes 99%+ of the chlorine & chems. For me, this is good to wash my vegetables, fruits & myself. The additional filter that has 2 more stages, but leaves the minerals. The final one removes the minerals (R.O.). This gives me options to drink what I want. Naturally water contains minerals, so i think its best but sometimes want R.O. h20

  • Thanks John! I like that you went in details showing how to do it. Very helpful!

  • GREAT STUFF MAN !! i am going to play about with a few plants now, I MIGHT TRY KIWI and Strawberry with Ginseng. Don't know how it will taste though ? I can also do nettle and mint TEA ? PEACE AND LOVE FOR SPREADING THE LOVE..

  • Strawberries vary in taste, so, a "natural" solution was to use bugs from central america that have shells that have a consistent strawberry taste.

  • Great video - thank you for this information!

  • Nice video. From a raw food prospective, is store bought Sparkling Water good for you?

  • It depends. What are the alternatives? If you would drink sparkling water instead of soda, then YES, its better. If your drinking sparkling water instead of regular water, it might not be as good. I enjoy sparkling water on rare occasions. My favorite is to make fresh pressed citrus juice 3/4 of the glass and then add 1/4 of the glass sparkling water. Natures Soda.

  • @pinkwoolsocks

Sparkling water is not good. The carbon dioxide used to create the bubbles is poison. Try breathing carbon dioxide for any length of time. You'll be dead. Carbon dioxide + water forms carbonic acid which is what you are drinking. Simple rule....any natural food or drink, modified by man in a factory does not build health. Sure...our body can adapt to it like it does with other poisons. Eventually, your health will decline. Stick with water from fresh fruits & veggies.

  • thanks for the reminder of healthy choices for hydration....

  • I love this! I do this! More people need to do this and stop drinking the poison that is soda. The regular stuff is full of poison high fructose corn syrup which in my opinion is the major cause of the skyrocketing diabetes epidemic in this country and the diet stuff is full of just plain poison to replace the other stuff in the regular stuff. The Aspartame is the root of so many problems it isn't even funny. Flavored water is a great way to wean yourself off the crap!

  • have you tried adding stevia to sweeten it up?

  • Yes, sometimes I add FRESH stevia leaves into the brew to make it sweet, and encourage you to grow your own stevia so you can do this too.

  • Second

  • hey! first view!
