  • i love the sound of those rims when they dunk on them

  • EATON STANDING IN THE LANE. EATON STANDING IN THE LANE. EATON STANDING IN THE LANE.

  • I LOVE THE ROCK THE CLADE AT THE BEGENING

  • its still fun to watch michael jordan games after all this time

  • great edit hoops, thanks! malone is scary

  • WHO COULD DISLIKE THIS??? THE ONLY THING I DISLIKE IS THE OTHER TEAM MAKING HOPES!!!! WHO'S THE 1 WHO DISLIKES THIS?!?!?

  • Jordan is like a Corvette:)

  • Wow MJ's hands gave him a huge advantage

  • @dnttalktomeh Myers he fires:)))

  • 4:22 WTF!!...

  • A lot of people who never saw him play - don't understand how fast and quick he was. He could not be guarded. Much faster than Kobe and Lebron and the rest of the pretenders. Young Jordan was untouchable.

  • Lol. I forgot how shitty his teammates used to be.

  • 1 person thought he could do better.

  • Growing up in Chicago every kid wanted to be like MJ. Now all of the kids want to be like Derrick Rose.

MJ had a complete fundamental game when he came into the league and by the time he left there wasn't anything he could not do.

The bottom line is MJ was fundamentally better, athletically better, mentally tougher, and a "Raw Ass Hooper".

  • People forget just how GOD AWFUL this Bulls team was...

  • damn mark eaton is the greatest shot blocker ever and a top 5 defensive big ever and NO ONE really knows who the hell he is today, underrated and under valued

  • where did this waiters dude came from, he's awful

  • Hey do you think it would be fair if you can make the Artistry of michael jordan part 3? Please..?

  • man ... mj with 1.5 speed looks great !!

  • Jordan so far advanced he was like a hidden player on a video game who can do everything better than the regular cast of characters

  • I must say Jordan had a lot of bums as teammates in the 80's. In this video, short-range wide open jumpers and they couldn't knock them down?

  • Dam Michael Jordan was sooooo much more athletic than these white boys!!!

  • @champion909 He's more athletic than any other player in today's era. There's a reason he's been called "air."

  • @brian05fubu True those poor white boys can't defend Jordan jumping over them and shooting or dunking.

  • Jordan looked like a different player back in the day. HIs jump shots and lay-ups looked so different compared to his later years.

  • 4:23 my oh my

  • :49 Nice take Mike.

  • Malone shot free throws totally different back then.

  • 5:56 "Micheal the breakaway, YEAH!"

Thanks for the upload hoops, loving this full edit.

  • Now I see why he averaged 37 in '87 cause no one outside of mike was capable of scoring effectively on a nightly basis

  • omfg LABRON JAMES IS MAKING JORDAN LOOK LIKE A FUCKING BUM

  • labron james is way better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @handsume001 ha u crack head, karl malone would shit on lebron, jordan would just fuck him, lebron is a running back who can dribble and occasionally shoot, his assisst comes from guys making 3s not like mjs penetration and lebron does not have any originality on his moves, and this guy mj who most of the world believes is better did this all in a body that is 35 pounds lighter and 2 inches shorter(in this vid he 50 pounds lighter btw)

  • @handsume001 ha u crack head, karl malone would shit on lebron, jordan would just fuck him, lebron is a running back who can dribble and occasionally shoot, his assisst comes from guys making 3s not like mjs penetration and lebron does not have any originality on his moves, and this guy mj who most of the world believes is better did this all in a body that is 35 pounds lighter and 2 inches shorter(in this vid he 50 pounds lighter btw) and that game 5 against the bulls u saw was incredibly rare

  • @handsume001 how can queen james better??? r u blind?

one thing 4 sure james is better at traveling and whining and acting

  • Bottom line: MJ is the greatest ever! There's no one even close.

  • Once again Hoops u are the man keep schooling the masses who think they know but dont lol

  • Jordan is the goat but these guys look like bums

  • @dpistons149

What?!?! So Karl Malone and John Stockton are "bums" in your eyes huh?

    Unbelievable!!!

  • @ChaosCat79 I knew somebody would say that.Malone and stockton are hall of famers but the people guarding Jordan had no chance in hell.

  • And I suppose the teams that the Bad Boy Pistons faced in the regular season, outside of their respective "star players" were bums too huh? :)

  • @ChaosCat79 When did i mention the bad boy pistons.Im just saying Jordan made these guys look like bums because he scored so easily.

  • Nice Upload.

  • @holderz Yeah, I need to get back on. So busy really. But, I need to soon lol.

  • Is this the game where MJ dunked on a Center and said "Is he big enough?"

  • @StackedDeck678 No, that's the "Mel Turpin" game - I put that up a while ago here: youtube.com/watch?v=vF9iByZVeAQ&feature=related

  • @hoopsencyclopedia Do you have MJ's 84 and 92 Olympics?

  • @StackedDeck678 is this the game where mj say "is his penis big enough?"

  • Check Jordan's jump at 5:59 for the dunk. He takes off from behind the hash mark on the side of the lane, which if you extend it to the center of the lane in a semi-circle (as you need to do to get equivalent distance from the basket) it would probably be about mid-way between the hash mark and the FT line. Then look at the replay and notice that despite the distance, he still nearly hits his head on the rim as he's dunking it. He could have easily done 2-handed FT line dunks imo.

  • he took the game over defensively!!!

  • Michael Jordan - touched by heaven

  • Mj's game is so beautiful to watch.

  • @kokomal Jordan's game is poetry in motion. He was the perfect combination of size, speed, power, stamina, reaction time, and basketball I.Q.

  • 4:00 Jordan makes a great pass with only Mark Eaton in the way of the basket. Oakley fails.

4:45 With 2 bigs that he could have passed to, Jordan says "Screw it" and posterizes 7'4" Eaton.

  • Who's the Jazz big guy 53?

  • @luka99medak Mark Eaton, one of the best shot blockers ever

  • Imagine how worse would this game be for the Bulls, if it's without Jordan.

  • Oakley had to be the most vertically challenged black guy in NBA history.

  • @SPMJ I might have to second that. I remember seeing him dunk maybe once or twice

  • SERIOUSLY?! this highlight reel of just one of jordans games is nearly as good as modern day nba players career highlight reels

  • People who compare LeBron to Michael have serious brain damage...Michael was unbelievable. You never see LeBron completely in control and this motivated to destroy his opponent. Great video.

  • @FreddieJack recently, Scottie Pippen compared LeBron to Jordan. I think Scottie is getting senile...

  • @choong23 I think that is a stretch. They aren't even the same style of player. Scottie is a PR guy now anyway. It's funny every other player says that Michael is on another level than every other player...ever. I respect Scottie saying that, but looking at tape of the two, it is easy to tell the difference and I think I'll take the majority of player's comments above just Scottie's.

  • Americans have short- term memory. This the game I mentioned to Hoops about MJ's 3 straight steals! MJ could averaged a triple-d in 88-89' if Collins played him at point all season. When pippen finally came around MJ played more off ball AFTER Collins was fired. Lebron passes MORE, but MJ was a better playmaker hands down. We need vids of the 88-89 season wit mike at point

  • @yahshuatwo

yes by far way better play maker. jordan instant reaction to offense is a immediate threat to any team and he sucks in all the defense to open his teammates up like no other perimeter player does.

completely agree on the short term memory. look at jordan in the 80s, every game he shows to have a LOT MORE energy than lebron, kobe or wade in their prime. great to see more of these old games surfacing as a prove to remind people what happened before they start forgetting.

  • @yahshuatwo I agree if he played point guard for an entire season in his athletic prime he would've averaged a 25+ point triple-double.

  • Great example of what Jordan had to do to win (or attempt to win) games before he had some solid help around him.

  • @hoopsencyclopedia hey when are you going to make the artistry of michael jordan 3?

  • Just found a site that keeps game by game stats: google Michael Jordans World

  • Wow people saying that Lebron passes better than Jordan. Well what they should say is he passes MORE than Jordan did so obviously he will have more assists. Lebron rebounds Better? Shit he is a foward. Hell Pippen had more rebounds than Jordan who is a Shooting guard. On defense Lebron slides that big ass body over thats it. And dont get me started on REAL defense. In Jordan's era that paint area was clogged and he still found creative ways to score. Need I say more? Yall already know

  • @oneindachamber Well, to be fair to LBJ he is the first player since a prime Shaq who has been consistently dominant while maintaining a high degree of efficiency. He's also a breathe of fresh air being a team first player in the shot jacking "freedom of movement initiative" era. So, while his numbers don't quite stack up to MJ's - I've taken into consideration that it's easier to score from the perimeter now - he is a hell of a player and could go down as a top 10 player of all-time.

  • @kileer7

yea. lebron is a great player no doubt. but to compare him to jordan, anyway you want to compare it, especially when comparing their prime, jordan makes lebron looks real bad. jordan instinctive reaction on offense and defense is just too unreal.

  • @popeyeisgood No doubt that Jordan is the GOAT by a wide margin.

  • @kileer7 Im bein fair yeah but shit I could name Dwayne Wade being Dominant hell even Kobe Bryant and He had to significantly adjust his shooting becuase of his finger. He also barely has any cartilage on one of his knees and thats why he couldnt practice much and is still performing at a high level. So LBJ aint the only consistent player. You see how D Wade be scoring. Wade plays like young Jordan did in the eighties. Hell you know Wade can takeover as he did in the 2006 Finals

  • @oneindachamber Nah, bro Wade doesn't score like a prime Jordan. As for Kobe being "dominant" the dude misses 54% of his shots; he scores by jacking up low I.Q. jumpers throughout 4 quarters.

  • @kileer7 Kobe doesnt miss 54% of his shots. And I am talking Kobe overall. Kobe was dominant in that late 1990s early to mid 2000s period. Did you read what I stated about his injuries. I cant think of any great player who can play on a knee with barely any cartilage and the finger that will never again be the same. He only started missing shots simply becausehe had to adjust his shooting touch. Thats the truth man. How come you didnt acknowledge that? you just started saying he misses shots.

  • @oneindachamber Kobe's career shooting percentage in the NBA Finals is 41%, in other words Kobe misses 59% of his field goal attempts in the finals. Kobe's career shooting percentage is 45.4 which means he misses 54.6 percent of his shots in the regular season. The truth is Kobe is a great player who has benefited by playing for a large sports market in L.A. His career averages, in his prime, past his prime, in the playoffs, and in the Finals are not consistent with a top 10 player of all-time.

  • Comment removed

  • @kileer7 yeah and jordans is 49.7 on 30 ppg when Kobe's is 45.4 on 25 ppg. And also Kobe's three point percentage is higher, not by much by like 1-2% but it is higher. All I am saying is Kobe isnt overrated. His best years may be in past but he is still great. And my point was about D Wad. ein my opinion and even critics have said this D Wade scoring is like a younger Jordan so D WADE is a dominant player. Hell just remember the 2006 NBA Finals because Shaq sure as HELL didnt bring Miami back

  • @oneindachamber I never doubted that Kobe was and is a great player, however, I have a huge problem with a person being credited for things that he has never done. For an example Kobe is considered "clutch", but his shooting percentage in potential game winning situations is 27%, which when compared to Jordan's 56.9%, is pathetic. Jordan has 6 seasons shooting over 50%, Kobe has never shot over 46%, Jordan has 4 seasons shooting over 52% Kobe has none. The difference in efficiency is stark.

  • @oneindachamber I'm not going to argue this bro. The facts are MJ holds the highest career points per game average of any player in NBA history, including both the playoffs and regular season. MJ won 6 Finals MVP's, 5 league MVP's, 10 scoring titles, and shot 51% as Chicago Bull. Wade, Kobe, LeBron, et. al are great players, but MJ's dominance and efficiency was unprecedented and unmatched, and I get really annoyed whenever people try to make it seem as if any of those guys are close to MJ.

  • @kileer7 Look here I was never trying to argue this. I ONLY responded after you had been trying to put me down. NO where in my fuckin comments did I put that Wade Kobe or LeBron are better than Jordan. From the first get go I was saying that LeBron or no one else for that matter is better than MJ. That was my first comment. But you wanted to start discussing about LeBron dominating. And I simply countered that saying he is NOT the only dominant player today. Can anybody read anymore

  • @oneindachamber I never meant to put you down homie, I guess it was my poor reading comprehension that fucked our conversation up. ;)

  • @oneindachamber

Jordan suffered an injury to the tendon on one of the fingers of his shooting hand when slicing a cigar (pre 98 season). It limited the mobility of his hand and is something he still has to this day... Jordan STILL averaged 28.7ppg/5.8reb/3.5ast/1.7stls, in a team that didn't have Pippen for HALF the season btw, won league and Finals MVP and hit the winning shot in Game 6 of the Finals.

  • Even with that injury Jordan still shot 46.5% from the field during the season. Kobe has only ever shot better than this from the field THREE TIMES during his entire career.. and even THEN just barely! And no, his "injuries" are not nearly as serious as the media and yourself are making them out to be. Certainly in the case of his "fractured finger" that has been blown out of ALL proportion.... it's merely a tiny, near-microscopic speck of bone that he chipped, not a proper broken bone!

  • @ChaosCat79 I am actually referring to his knee. I mean nobody has Kobe's finger injury but that aint the reason why he missed practice a lot this season. Its the knee that he has to drain even during last years finals and the knee has little cartalige. That means if worse comes to worse he might not really be able to walk. Thats the injury I really am talking about. Nobody can dispute that fact.

  • @oneindachamber While your on the kick of making excuses for your boy Kobe.....did you know Larry Bird broke his pointer finger on his shooing hand playing softball PRIOR to his rookie season at Boston?? He never had it set and it healed very crooked. He STILL was an amazing shooter despite the deformity to his pointer finger...so keep making excuses Bud, Kobe isn't the only one to ever play injured.

  • @bwink23 Yall keep comin at me with the finger bullshit. I explained about the injury of his KNEE. It is very hard to play on a knee with barely any cartilage. Thats what I am talking about read my above comment at him missing practice this season due to the knee. YOU CANT DISPUTE THAT FACT.And I am not making excuses for Kobe. My main thing was to talk about Wade but dude above wanted to talk about Kobe. READ all my comments before you start comin at me.

  • @bwink23 How pitiful do yall seem tryin to research other players just to dispute my facts on HIS KNEE. Hell if people ask me something what do you think I am gonna do. I am gonna talk about so thats why I mentioned my things on Kobe. Thats not an excuse it simply became a debate. To let you know again I was talking about D Wade being a dominant player but saying Kobe still has something left in the tank. Hell its like yall cant read.

  • @oneindachamber i didn't have to research shit dude, i'm 34 and watched Bird and everyone knows about his crooked finger, except you apparently. Did you not say in your comments on more than one occasion that Kobe had to adjust his touch cuz of his finger? i can re-post it for you if you want. that's an EXCUSE...he barely shot worse than any other year he's played.

  • @bwink23 Of course I mentioned bout Kobe finger more than one occasion. Me and someone else were simply having a DEBATE that sure as hell didnt include you. You want to keep mentioning Birds finger but I dont give a fuck. I aint making excuses. If you want to repost some of my shit cool becuase you can also repost where I mentioned about Kobe's knee having barely any cartilage. Again you CANNOT dispute this and even the guy who I was having the debate with couldnt dispute this.

  • @bwink23 Also I know a helluva lot bout the REAL NBA myself. So stop tryin to school me as if I dont know nothin. Shit I know about Magic's bad finger. You chose to jump into a debate me and ANOTHER guy were having. And another thing you can repost if you choose: Hell I could even name D WAde being dominanat even Kobe. I said he still plays at a high level. But my point was D Wade scoring attack and how he took over 2006 Finals.

  • @bwink23 You see me talking about D Wade and then you only come at me with shit against Kobe. There all great no matter what you say so I wonder what you have against Kobe when clearly my start of MY DEBATE WITH SOMEONE ELSE was about D WADE. So go ahead and put words into my fuckin mouth. I know what the fuck I was talking about and that was D Wade not Kobe. I only mentioned Kobe as an afterthought in A DEBATE THAT DIDNT FUCKIN INCLUDE YOU. Go ahead put words into my mouth

  • @oneindachamber You still talking about knee cartilage?? AND....who gives a fuck? "I'm not making excuses"...SURE YOU AREN'T

  • @bwink23 Lol. Yep I am glad you didnt make a fool of yourself. You read my above comments and saw that I was CLEARLY TALKING BOUT D WADE and you still ridin hard on Kobe's dick thats why you cant stop trying to put him down. You saw I was CLEARLY TALKING BOUT D WADE. I reapeated this above. GO head n repost my comments. ANd my so called excuses are facts bitch. Get it straight. You lost the debate that never INVOLVED YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE. NEXT TIME STAY THE FUCK OUT

  • @oneindachamber ."Im bein fair yeah but shit I could name Dwayne Wade being Dominant hell even Kobe Bryant and He had to significantly adjust his shooting becuase of his finger. THERE'S ONE BITCH-ASS EXCUSE. TOO BE CONTINUED.

  • @oneindachamber HERE'S ANOTHER WHINY BITCH EXCUSE FOR KOBE'S POOR LITTLE FINGER, WA!! "Kobe doesnt miss 54% of his shots. And I am talking Kobe overall. Kobe was dominant in that late 1990s early to mid 2000s period. Did you read what I stated about his injuries. I cant think of any great player who can play on a knee with barely any cartilage and the finger that will never again be the same. He only started missing shots simply becausehe had to adjust his shooting touch"--GO HOMEKID

  • @oneindachamber And for good measure, Kobe DOES miss 54.6% of his career shots you fucking moron, it's simple math....His best overall season was just 46.9% from the field douchebag. So your "He didn't start missing shots cus of his finger" bullshit is just that....BULLSHIT!! One thing all Kobetards have in common. They are ALL excuse-making, whiny little fucks....NEXT

  • @bwink23 WOW! Once again let me speak facts. Oh yeah and ALL MY COMMENTS YOU REPOSTED CAME FROM A DEBATE ME AND ANOTHER GUY WERE HAVING. I mentioned Kobe still being dominant after I did D Wade. You reposted my comment about the finger. BUT ITS THE TRUTH. He did have to adjust his shooting. Even the guy who I had the debate with didnt even say thats an excuse. He Said Kobe is still great but maybe a little overrated.

  • @bwink23 Hell you cant deny anything I have spoken as fact. You jumped all over me for speakin on KOBE WHEN I CLEARLY ALSO SPOKE ABOUT D WADE. So you simply wanted to go at everything I said about Kobe. I mean you must have a problem with the dude or something you dick ridin faggot. I mean you are on Kobe so much you still cant recognize I said anything bout D WADE. You just want to label my FACTS as excuses because my FACTS ARE TRUE. So you say THAT"S BULLSHIT. Lol.

  • @bwink23 since your callin me a kobetard you wack motherfucker I guess you REALLY MUST HAVE A PROBLEM deep down inside. Hell you see a comment about Kobe n you want to do everything to put me down and you cant becuase a douchebag (your wack ass word) like you cant even recognize the facts I said. You cant even have a simple debate even though MY DEBATE NEVER INVOLVED YOU in the first place. If you hate Kobe that much GO TELL KOBE and stop directing your hate for KOBE on me faggot. i spoke facts

  • @bwink23 Yeah go ahead repost my very first comment. Which had to do with nobody bein close to Jordan even Pippen's man Lebron.me and a REASONABLE GUY WHO ME AND HIM WERE DEBATING NOT YOU brought up Kobe so guess what it was TIME TO FUCKIN DEBATE. And also a DEBATE IS WHERE YOU PRESENT YOUR FACTS which the other guy did he did not simply bring HATE as you did since u hate another Player. The FACTS ARE MJ IS THE GREATEST. But KOBE IS GREAT also. No matter what YOU COULD NEVER DISPUTE MY FACTS.

  • @oneindachamber It is a FACT your are a whiny, excuse-making Kobetard. Your going no where with shit. Your not on my level dude so take a step back.

  • Also listen to what the commentators were saying at aroumd 6:15... They are alluding to how, even then, basketball journalists and fans were saying that Jordan was nothing but a scorer. But those commentators quite correctly just how good a defender he was even then... a point he would prove a couple of seasons later by winning a Defensive Player of The Year award, a nigh-unheard of feat for a shooting guard, let alone one who ALSO led the league in scoring that year too! :)

  • Oh man! Michael Jordan was SUCH a BALLHOG back during the 80's.... NOT!

Geez I get so TIRED of Kobe (and other current players) homers claiming that Joradn hogged the ball all the time... This video shows just how good of a playmaker he was too, even during the days he was averaging well over 30ppg. (Rather than just over 30ppg) :)

  • @ChaosCat79 In 88-89 Jordan played point guard when Paxson was hurt, in his first 11 games at that position he had 10 triple-doubles. During the last 25 games of that season Jordan averaged 30+ points per game on 50%fg, 8+ rebounds per game, 10+ assists per game. Jordan was the utility man, meaning he could do whatever he was asked to do: from playing stifling defense, scoring, play making, be a low post threat, etc. Kobe homers don't know anything about bball.

  • @kileer7

Exactly! Could you imagine, just IMAGINE Kobe being asked to stand in at point guard if Derrick Fisher went down for an extended period of time with injury? Yeah, I laughed my arse off too! :D

  • @kileer7 Ι watched espn sportscentury, Michael Jordan, a couple of days ago and Bobby said that b4 the draft he tried to convince a friend of his to draft MJ and his friend said "we need a center" and Bobby answered "Great! Draft MJ and play him at center!". That friend was probably the Blazers's GM! But it doesn't say...

  • @kileer7 Those are amazing stats.. Is there a place online that provides this type of thorough information on Jordan's career? Stats like this make it extremely easy to dismiss claims of anyone being anywhere close to Jordan's greatness.

  • @bluerap04 basketball-reference(com) between 03-25-1989 and 04-14-1989 MJ had a stretch of 11 games in which he posted 10 triple-doubles, 7 of them came consecutively. From 03-04-1989 to 04-21-1989 MJ averaged 30+ ppg on 50%fg, 8+ rpg, 10+ apg. His 88-89 season average: 32.5ppg, 53.8%fg, 27.6%3pt, 85%ft, 8reb, 8ast, 2.9stl, .8blk

  • @kileer7 These are Superman type numbers!

  • @ChaosCat79

yea ballhog, no mid range, not a good defensive player, not a good passer, are all myth and made up crap from those stupid commentators later on in his career to dramatize his progress over the years. he was always a complete player since day 1, but with a bigger focus on scoring. when you are so damn good at getting point it is pointless to play like magic.

  • @popeyeisgood So true!

  • anybody have the stat line on both bulls and jazz?

  • MJ didn't need to take his talents elsewhere...

  • @defghik his athletic prime was at this point, mid 80s and late 80s entering the dunk comps

  • MJ best player ever fuk lebum!!

  • 4:26 was a good example of how much harder it was in the 90s then in today's NBA to make a basket. If you watch the announcer says Eaten standing in the lane. Eaten standing in the lane" The guy was just waiting to pound Jordan while he was coming down the lane to score and Jordan still did it. The 3 sec rule now changes that whole ordeal.

  • Hoops, when do you think Jordan's athletic peak was? Not necessarily his basketball peak, just when he was at his most athletic.

  • I feel like because Jordan won so many rings during the 90s people kind of forget about the late 80s Jordan but it's always nice to see MJ at his "athletic prime" if that makes any sense

  • MJ could've had 10+ assists if dudes would make their shots.

  • @MrBallaBoy21 LOL that is such a stupid statement... Well if Stockton's teammates made more shots he would average 20+ assists too... I sort of see where you're going but its pretty weak, everyone gets more assists if their teammates make shots

  • @JMFTiM3 I'm talkin about this game genius.

  • @MrBallaBoy21 Oh yeah that's why you said he would "average 10+ assists" to average it has to be more than a game... genius

  • @JMFTiM3 I said "could've had" genius.

  • Man, if NBA had the Daily Top 10 on that day, all 10 plays would belong to the GOAT Michael Jordan

  • never compare MJ to any other stars. He will always be the g.o.a.t.

  • @brian05fubu but but but...scottie pippen said lebron is better than him. lmfao

  • @K24BeanB I suggest you to learn how to listen and read kobetard lmao

  • @brian05fubu fail.

  • @K24BeanB lmao kobetard

  • @brian05fubu THANK and YOU lol did you see how the Scottie Pippen declared goat played last night enough said
