You could put .12g bbs through it regardless of the hopup. Im not saying that you should though. and yes its safe to use a 9.6v battery, theres just no room unless you mod it.

ummmm... no, i tested my hop-up a multitude of times, and its just fine. The sights on mine suck. Maybe it was an early version, or just a manufacturer defect, i dont know. But they dont work well enough to aim on target.

A new battery, and new clips would be your best bet for this gun. Yes the stock wiggles, mainly because its not the real thing. With some little modifications to it, if your that picky that is, you prevent the "wiggling." The sight con falls into each gun, no guns going to fire exactly the same, especially when you put a tight bore barrel in it. My sights work just fine.
to make it quieter you could get a different piston, piston head, spring guide, polycarbonate gears maybe, and if you can a quieter motor. But you won't get it that much quieter for the price.
Yes, this gun is pretty accurate with the stock barrel. Though be careful with the hop-up, its very easy to over do it, and you'll be watching your bbs flying over your target.
Don't even bother with the charger that comes with it. Invest in a good charger. I have a MRC Super Brain 959, it has a lifetime Warranty. Not bad for $55
