How very strange. Not sure the first dance is necessarily in the Headington style but interesting nonetheless. But the music's much more interesting... The second tune (1:05 onwards) is "Gathering Peascods", originally published in Playford's English Dancing Master in 1651. 260 years later, Cecil Sharp dug it out for part II of his Country Dance Book and it's more recently been in the repertoir of Brass Monkey. So what the f*ck's it doing being played at a Dutch folk dance festival in the 30s??
