  • "Sean did a lot of updating ... he's really the next generation"

Haha, I guess this makes it sort of like the Star Wars Prequels then.

  • This is so fucking awful.

  • JOHN FRUSCIANTE

  • wow 0:49 sounds like John Connor, "i dont believe man is destined to.. like, destroy itself"

  • PART 2 - Cyndi Lauper, Sean Ono Lennon, Little Richard, L.L. Cool J, M.C. Hammer, Michael McDonald, Duff McKagan, Alannah Myles, New Voices Of Freedom, Randy Newman, Yoko Ono, Tom Petty, Iggy Pop, Q-Tip, Bonnie Raitt, Run, Dave Stewart, Teena Marie, Little Steven Van Zandt, Don Was, Wendy & Lisa, Ahmet Zappa, Dweezil Zappa, Moon Zappa

  • Not only Flea but also John Fusciante behind hin (with unusual hair,,,) Anyway this is the list of the partecipants (in alphabetical order not in appearance order) PART 1 Amina Adam Ant Sebastian Bach Bros Felix Cavaliere Terence Trent D'Arby Flea John Frusciante Peter Gabriel Kadeem Hardison Ofra Haza Joe Higgs Bruce Hornsby Lee Jaffe Al Jarreau Jazzie B Davey Johnstone Lenny Kravitz (also producer)
  • John's version is still the untouchably amazing best

  • the lyrics didnt have to be replaced..

    they DIDNT

  • When the power of love owercomes the love of power the world will have peace.

  • FLEA!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nothing better than giving the word of protecting the planet by printing it on your ass.

    0:34

  • I love this song and the sentiment cannot be more important. But, Sean, I think we ARE destined to destroy ourselves. In fact, it's one of the better scenarios. The base case is that we destroy ourselves and MANY OTHER innocent life forms on the planet before we go. We are a horribly aggressive and destructive species and the peaceful and not entirely self-referential among us are wonderful but short-lived aberrations.

  • the integrity of the song is somewhat undermined by containing m c hammer and a reference to 'new kids dancing on mtv'...............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lennon is spinning like a dervish in his grave !!!!!!!!!!!! lol

    lmao!

  • John Lennon's original recording is a million times better then this. I guess it means that he has a million times more talent then all these artists combined, I have never stoped missing his talent and interlect. The world is just sooo much poorer without him. RIP John...

  • 0:58 is that john mayer? when he like jumps up to the peace sign?

  • Who's that behind Flea? Is it John Frusciante?

  • i always forget the lyrics...

    give peace a what????

    oh chance...how could i forget :)

  • hi *Leia*, looking at the names (yours plus those that were suggested later) and faces, I see also Al Jarreau... (;o)*

Great project, and great words by Yoko too! (also Sean)

Love PEACE Music, Melody Fox (aka the Princess of Rock and the Warrior of Light, against all those who fight...)

  • i think sean looks more like his dad than julian

  • i didnt even notice peter gabriel

  • both of his sons should have been in the remake video

  • Also, Little Richard, LL Cool J, Iggy Pop, MC Hammer, Cindy Lauper

  • Alannah Myles is in this video.

  • that's his son Sean Lennon

  • dude! thats his son, SEAN LENNON!!

    doy!

of course he looks like him

and who doesnt wanna be like john lennon, he was a legend

    DUH!

  • Thats his son... so ... kinda in a round about way John Lennon ._.

  • i like th first remake, but yoko's was mainly a gimic to stay in the spotlight

  • God, that last remake was totally awful. Those people suck. Purely commercial, no heart.

  • Iggy Pop saves this video.

  • John Lennon's legacy lives on...

  • Yeah, if his legacy was crappy remakes.. sure.

  • I was referring mainly to Lennon's message of peace, which in this case, has basically been made more relevant for a new generation.

  • is it just me, or does sean look like harry potter?

  • haha yeah, he kinda does.

  • Isn't Duff McKagan of GNR in this? One of them looked like him.

  • yes that was him

    many many years ago.

  • Was that Dweezil Zappa almost mooning us? That's giving peace a chance but the wrong piece. LOL

  • I love John and I love this song and it's offspring - but, when the trade center was hit - it was time for action against those who hit it. If only we'd had a good leader who not only should have protected us against it taking place, but someone who went after the right people who did it.

  • i get what sean is saying

but i just can't seem to like this song they way he sang it and the lyrics.

  • good work sean! the revival is so great full of issues that needs to be appeased! yes ms. yoko we can make it..with all the negative thinks we have around us we need some hope...to save humanity we can say it over and over again "all we are saying is give peace a chance" lets all move our bodies in unison to create a positive energy that will make everybody love one another! andiamo insieme......

  • wow this song id soooo funny.... sorry its such a cheesy 90s theme it makes me laugh

  • Lenny and Yoko dancing together is funny

  • That's Duff from Guns N' Roses.

  • Who's the blonde haired dude at 1:02? I cant recall his name.

  • If you mean the 1st blonde guy I don't know. The 2nd one is Sebastian Bach.

  • I need to know where I can find the remix of "Give peace a chance" when they did it for the horror of what happened after 9/11?

  • Comment removed

  • @leia176oo Duff McKagan, former bass player in Guns N'Roses.

  • @leia176oo That first blond guy is Duff McKagan, former bassist of Guns N Roses and Velvet Revolver.

  • @Landrew120880

Thats Duff McKagan(sp?). Bass player for Guns N Roses.

  • @Landrew120880 It is Duff McKagen from Guns n Roses.

  • Everyone hates Yoko but I respect her. John loved her and she loved him and it's good that she keeps his word alive. I think she's a beautiful lady and very respectable.

  • you cant change someone who doesnt like ur music simply because its not their typ U cant sit there like ur makin a difference when you r too scared to go into a ghetto and preach

U cant make a difference by sitting in 1 place taking care of the same damn people U may add more ppl to ur peace efforts, and thats great. but in this age, the people we're at war with rnt getting the message Get off ur pedistol like ur such great ppl and get to fuckin work. Giving to charity isnt guna solve the war

  • reporter "Well we wont have peace while we are living together.."

    john "Oh yes we will!!"

    :)

  • I love this post. We all could at least try to give and recive a little less hate. I believe in peace but I know many people who just treat it as a fad in order just to look cool. For example, when Lennon died, that really was the day the music died, and his followers had no leader, so it didnt work. But what people dont understand is that we dont need any leaders, if you really want peace, you will get it. I guess what im trying to say is that SOME people just talk the talk and not the walk.

  • Songs are written and words are said, but war goes on.

    Why?

  • because those in power keep us divided and distracted. Only then can they control us. They also like to profit from it as well.
