@Tickle910 I finally fixed mine, try going to the windows 8 start screen/app screen then put you mouse on the bottom right hand side of the page and click the magnifying glass then type windows update, I installed the updates then it restarted and it was all good, if it doesn't work go to windows 8 forum and they can help you.

It WORKED!! it says no driver installed or something like that(got it on norwegan) but when i turn on Spotify it comes SOUND sweet !! (probably just need to reboot the Computer since it is SO slow :D )

if this didnt work you go to computer than device manager than something about sound click once than look for update at top and it should update the driver. if that doesnt work than look it up on google.

I tried another thing for this problem with the sound in Win 7. Control Panel - Troubleshoot - Sounds. It ran a 4 second diagnostic and determined my speakers were unplugged. I checked, and they were still plugged in, so I unplugged and plugged the speaker cable back in, and instantly the sound was back. Weird glitch in communications from the audio port to the drivers? Not sure, but it works now. I noticed it loses the sound if I frequently put my computer in Sleep Mode instead of shutting down
