i think those are the mad catz cymbals that overhit; they attach to a normal rock band kit.

The Ion cymbals are supposed to be great apparently and are generally pretty good about accuracy and all that.

Try covering up part of your cymbals with a mouse pad (If they have those in Germany lol). That SHOULD reduce noise. Unless you don't care lol.

he has his cymbals turned around so they don't miss as much, the part they want you to hit is already covered therefore causing the misses typically, that's why they're turned around, to avoid the missing. and also causing tons of noise =( if he covered them, they would miss which defeats the purpose. not getting on you at all, just explaining what makes sense to me about what he did with the cymbals.
