I like Merzbow more and more every time I come back to him. His different albums are really starting to impress me as having very different feels to them, and I hope at least that the unique character of each is something real and not imagined by me. What am I saying, of course it's imagined by me. Most experience is imagination. Bless Merzbow for reminding me of this truth every so often, this is beautiful music to my ears.

@JupahzOfficial Not always. "Harshness" ,dissonance and " lack of melody" have different definitions. Some noise music including Merzbow may sound consonant and even melodic at times without loosing their extremity. IOW, "harshness" is a timbre and dissonance is a certain combination of sounds.
