This video makes me shiver. I had 3 lung collapse and it is nothing but pain and hell. They put in a chest tube and when they take it out it's a 2 second pain but it's no fun and you feel the tube rubbing against your inside parts. And they also stuck a tube know as a catheter my dick hole the first and last time. Thats self explanatory in the pain. For me my lung was so badly bruised from the tubes they had to put my chest tube in during surgery. This is not a fun game to play.

I don't think it has anything to do with musculature, it has to do with the shape of your lungs. Happened to me in 5th grade and again last November. I think some things are preordained. Call it destiny or whatever. Chest tubes coming out were far worse than the insertion. This last time they had to remove some scar tissue and I felt like hell after. Awoke and felt as though I had tent stakes pinning me to the bed. Good luck to you.

You popped a lung because you are a tiny, fragile person. Nothing wrong with that...my best friend did the same thing. Both of his lungs collapsed because he is such a tall lanky person with not alot of muscle.
I had a spontaneous pneumothorax on January 1st of this year, spent 2 weeks in ICU because they had to do a pleurodesis which went sour. I had woken from a nap and couldn't breathe, scary shit.
if you dont smoke this shouldnt happen, on a healthy person there is a reserve of ~1200 in your lungs, on a smoker its much less. The 1200 keeps your lung from collapsing. If a smoker blows out all the air from lungs, and has much less than 1200 reserve, the lung will collapse.
as far as i know its quasi impossible to blow ALL your air from the lungs.... i had multiple bi lateral pneumothorax on both sides of the lungs (3 times in my left lung, 2 times in my right lung) and also twice surgery and a thorocostamy. funny thing is the lung itself is pretty healthy and the doctor thought i didnt smoke from what my CT Scan shows

i can relate, i had a very small part of my right lung collapse about a month ago. not even sure what caused it really. i think it might have just been from coughing so much. but the lung specialist they had come see me told me this was common for young very tall guys around their teens - their 20s i believe. Unfortunately i fit both of those categories

thay gave a local anastetic (however that is spelt) but it still hurt so much. I later found out it was because the nurse doing it was in training and she ripped a nerve near my rib !! its still feels numb a year later !

Tall skinny guys are more likely to get a spontaneous pneumothorax. It isn't about lung condition or trauma sometimes it just happens.

Also, when mine happened my breathing wasnt effected in either. TBH I think ive had more and just beared the pain and after a week it healed up.
When it was glued tho, OMG pain like nothing else. I was on morphine (one freaky sensation!) but it was still agony

Actually blowing your nose can cause you lung to collapse. It is called a spontaneous pneumothorax, it is vey common in young, tall and skinny men.
