In the 50s and 60s, incoming freshmen were treated to the folklore of UT, which included learning that a student named Henry Pitts from East Texas had invented the Hook-Em horns sign and given it to one of the UT male cheerleaders. Guess that cheerleader was Clark. Maybe CSTV should interview Pitts.
Back in the 1960"s when memories were much closer to the event we were told at UT Austin Student Orientation that Henry Kirby Pitts, erstwhile of Kountze, Texas, invented the HookEm Horns sign. This video seems to be revisionist history.
