Latin is not a race. It's a group of peoples whose language is a latin language. Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, Romanian are all latin languages. Therefore those people are considered Latin.

Latin America got its name because most of the countries speak either Spanish, Portuguese, or French, and Creole French (Hatian).

You assume because he is mixed that he is hispanic? Real hispanics are Spaniards (white), descendants of Spaniards (criollos, whites). Any other Latin Americans who call themselves Hispanics and are not white are full of it.

sorry that was my bad. I meant to say he looks like my Hispanic friend who happens to be Mulatto as well. Hispanic is not a race. The term Hispanic in the US consist of the people of Spain & anyone with origins in any of the Spanish-speaking nations of the Americas regardless of ancestry.

I also am half black half italian. And if someone called me something im not i would be extremely insulted. We are mixed race people. some of us are dark and some are light. we are mixed race. with a name like blackice i assume u are black? its like saying you look Sri Lankan. We're mulatto cause we possess significant proportions of negroid and caucasoid dna, and are phenotypically intermediod i.e. we're not maxxxed out like blacks, whites, and orientals. :-) we're not as racially or ethnically pidgeonholed as others. our phenotypical resemblence to other races is an attribute of our inter-ethnically compatible phenotype!
