  • i got a system installed my amp would turn on fineley everyday but now it stopped turning on but when i run a piece of wire from the battery cable to the remote wire it turns on is my remote wire bad?

does the remote wire need a inline fiuse to work

  • If you dont have a remote wire on a stock deck you can loop a wire to the remote and 12volt on your amp but then you need to use a switch on your power wire or it will kill your battery. If you do stay with a stock deck that dose not have output for an amp you can use a converter to run a signal from your rear speakers. It can not be done without a converter.

  • WTF is a punto??

  • Wow am I glad you have a punto. Now I can follow this literally step by step

  • that was the worst video ever...

  • dude thanks alot my cousin hooked the system for me but it had problems with the battery watched this video and it was easy i dont know shit about cars but i gave it a try while i watched this vid thanks dude

  • @eripena

    glad it was helpful

  • okay on the remote wire im a little confused, on the back of my radio theres a tag on the back with blue wire with a white strip across running through and it says system remote control, am i suppose to hook up my remote wire to my amp with that?

  • @amritaka2qw32

yeh thats the remote matey, make sure to either crimp or solder it tight

  • @dr10nov ok i got it. thank you sir :)

  • @amritaka2qw32

yes you connect it to that ...i had the same problem my cousin had hooked it up to a yellow wire which caused my system to stay on all the time whether the car was on or off........i connected it to to Remote channel that had a sticker and it worked

  • @amritaka2qw32 yes that wire turns the amp on and off witth the stereo, you got MAIN 12volt straight from the battrey or alternator, then negative witch is the ground that needs to be grounded to a good clean bolt on the car, then theres the Control or what ever it says on your amp that goes to the blue wire and some amps have antenne and another one for amp so you can have a power antenne

  • @brucekirk89 ok i had gotten that all hooked up. now do i leave the stock car amplifier wire alone or do i hook that up as well?

  • i have no idea on how to connect the remote wire

  • dude how did you put those cables from engineroom through to inside of car? please explain me! i've bought those stuff but can't install cause dont know how to get cables in because i cant find any holes or somethinglike that to do that? please answer quick and srry for bad english :)

  • @csjake92

some cars already have a hole going through the firewall of the car, which is what i used, if not you will have to drill a hole going through. if you dont feel confident enough go down to any car audio place and im sure they will be able to help

  • im putting in a 2nd amp in my car and im wondering if you can take the remote wire from the 2nd amp and run it to the first amp to combined it with the first remote wire thats already connect up front.

  • @Gangsta4ife

yeh u can do that mate

  • for safety try disconnect negative cable of your car batt. before connecting all wire.....and pull off fuse or amps of power cable(+cable)

  • FUCK ENGLAND

  • nice voice fucking foriegn piece of shit. and nice way of using the wratchet

  • @HunterHitler nice spelling

  • do u run off battery or put it on acc power? or a switch?

  • @subwofer56

you run it off battery but the remote wire is what turns the amp on or off regarding to wether your car is on or not

  • why does he keep removing the ratchet its annoying rofl

  • What does the ground cable do? Do you need one?

  • @oOMRPETEOo yes, it completes the power circuit

  • I'm not being a smart arse when i say this, but the tool you use to undo the screws on the amp, you dont need to keep on taking it on and off. It is designed so you can simply turn the handle back the other way. If it does not turn there should be a thing you can switch. around 3.00 mins. Sorry if you take this to offence it was just bugging me while i was watching :)

  • do you not know how to use a ratchet?

  • you forgot to disconnect the negative terminal

  • man dogg with ur video i wouldnt of never got it done thanks to u i can finally hear music only one qustion every time i turn it of or on i makes a loud thoud and im really scared they might get jackup so if u know wats wrong or anybody please help

  • @gmcserria23 try turning the sub volume down

  • @gmcserria23 its your remote wire, u need to run it from the back of the radio

  • @gmcserria23 that means u have a bad ground

  • wow thoese wires a so cheap i woundnt trust them at all the wires i use are 1/0 gauge

  • @eddie6392 sorry if them wires are to cheap for you, its only a tutorial showing others how to install. well done for using 1/0 gauge though, your so cool. i made this for coursework, and now im willing to help people who want it, so only comment if its a questions or anything of any other use... understand?

  • ok but i kno ppl who look at these vids and see what type of wires u use and try and get the same ones then after some time the wires melt and sometimes even start on fire i think for any car system yea 8 to 4 gauge and the only reason i use 1/0 is becuz i have 3 batters and 5 amps pushing out little over 12,000 watts

  • cheers matey if you need any more help just ask

  • GOOD VIDEO

  • Wow that was amazing!! i just installed an amplifier in my car using your instructions! it was so helpful, and it didnt take me long at all. Thank you so much for this video and i hope you get the best you can for your coursework because it was seriously the best instructions.
