This song is a remake of PRAS of the groupe The Fugees. The original song is of Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers - Islands in the stream. you can also see on the youtube.
i was simply trying to state that not all koreans treat them bad and people shouldn't be grouped together because of some people. it only takes a few statements from one person to make a whole country look bad. everything is labeled black or white or asian ect. why can't you just say some people treat others bad. we're all human no matter what race you are. so i'm not defending one race. i was defending the artist in this video and hip hop music.
any language in music can be mimicked to make it sound like their english (or other language) is amazing. To musicians, it's easier to match pitch and tone by reproducing the chords from the original song in music form than regular speaking. I bet you she'd have a heavy accent if she tried to speak english cause she's not thinking in musical notes
korean gangsta rappers as a concept sure are funny.
it's like they pick pieces of american culture to try and emulate, but instead end up looking rather hilarious (i'm lookin' at you, guys in sweatsuits and oversize b-ball jerseys).
korea doesn't need anything from american culture because they have their own. what do you think of american's stealing other countries cultures? by the way hip hop originated in africa
steriotypes and racism are twords asians too. it's not just blacks that are treated wrong.american's treat most forigners wrong. and most asians treat nigerian men bad because of rapes against asian women. not just "black people". your more likely to be excepted in korea or in any other asian country than america. and this is comming from an american.
I agree, racism happens everywhere but you cannot deny this fact: blacks are not welcomed in Korea even though "black" music is very popular. I don't think you can explain it by using the rapes of a few women as an excuse. There is much more to it than that.
asian-americans don't have accents (obviously)...but if you're straight up from asia and never really speak english til your twenties, like hyori, you'll have an accent..
lol, sry if you didnt understand my first comment...its an asian thing...if we're americans we call each other americans...if you're not then you're whatever else...i didn't mean to say she was white haha

So sad and Lame !!! Bunch of Korean kids trying to act all badass hip-hoppers, they don't even know what kind of ghetto the song title is referring to. Korea doesn't have public housing for the poor.
i like this performance too! her english sounds ok here, which i find suprising, cuz it wasn't that good when she was talking to Jessica Alba..>.> but either way, i love Hyori! she's so pretty! i wish this performance was longer!! :D
