He was in Berlin for the 10th Cinema Festival, and a girl said that he was more popular than Brad Pitt & Leonardo Di Caprio ... she wasn't Indian, nor Middle-Eastern, but German. So, I'm wondering : is really SRK so popular over there ?! I've also seen that in 2006 (for his movie 'Veer-Zara') he had 2000 fans, where Tom Cruise had less than 100 ... it's just amazing.

They have not shown any movies of dharmender. Germans hardly know anything about other bollywood heros, apart from a few others. In this video they are saying that indians only make kitschy romantic flicks, every movie has a happy end and every bollywood movie is with shahrukh in the lead role.

Sorry, that's not what they say. If you listen well it's emntioned that NOT everey movie is with Shah Ruhk Kahn. But he is the one who in some way introduced "Bollywood" to the Germany. You have to start somewhere, and we Germans started with him.

Germans act as if they only watch shahrukh khan movies. They feel embarressed admitting that they like hindi movies with other stars also. There are around 50 to 60 bollywood german websites in the internet.
