You are indeed correct. I am very sorry I didn't specify that certain Muslims practice such things due to extremism, not that Islam supports it, I apologize for the ignorance in the statement and can only assume I lacked detail due to how frustrated I was that people were making the post about religion. being a Muslim, i can only hope that people would realise that Islam is a beautiful religion and it`s the wrong interpretations of its teachings by the fanatics that has brought it a bad name and consequently given birth to such haneous and inhuman practices.

I agree with you, the heart of Islam is beautiful. I watched both videos again, and could not find where I said it... So I hope when I did say it, I made a point that not all, but some Muslims believe in the practice.

this practice is and was merely a custom or a tradition in the rural areas because a bunch of fanatics long long ago, with the wrong interpretation of Islamic teachings started to make people live by their rather maliciously engineered rules and it became a custom thereon..

i come from a country where this practice was very common in some rural parts but thanks to the media it has decreased over the years.. the thing is Islam doesnot support any such practice infact it gives women all the necessary rights just like men and urges it`s followers to respect them and not treat them like objects or desire..

And those three religions, not constitutions, also deem ALOT as a sin, in fact they deem any human being a sinful one, which means if we are are all equal, then why not equal rights. It says nothing of punishing gay people, so what is the justification of law in a Christian's eyes?

And in Islam, females that are raped are put to death for "dishonoring their families"... So what credence should we give to religion when the same sort of behavior has happened in any religion ruled by males?
