I love this. I want more than anything to go to Terceria where my mother was born. The house she lived in over 100 yrs ago still stands. All these Islands are so beautiful.

The longing never goes away ...but great fullfilment and peace of heart will come over you if visit your land. I was ten when I left Santa Maria, and in my early fourties went back and traveled most of the Acores and found the missing links in my heart that were needed.

Our parents might have taken us away from the Azores...but the islands never leave us. I went back for a visit last Summer for a couple of weeks and visited 5 of the islands...it cures the soul.

In trhe winter its cold but surprisingly not as cold a place like toronto. Its cold in the winter its very windy. It does not snow. in the summer its amazingly warm. We have palm trees here and there to. ive seen them at my avos house. I am from terceira.
