  • I have an A hohner piccolo like yours! I have it almost 25 years, since i was a kid. It's really high, and i found it strange as i compared it with my brother's C and it is higher.

  • @saavedra29 - Cool! Hang on to it, because they don't make them anymore!

  • O.o that gold one is pretty!

  • @mayesjam Thanks! It's now on a brass comb, so it looks even better - solid gold.

  • Very interristing video ! Hello from France...you can see me : Harmochris on youtube

  • You sound great on all those harps Todd! Are you going to SPAH this year?

  • @jazmaan Yeah man! Hope to see you there. You are one smooooooth player yourself!

  • Wow thath's first thing sound very cool

sound like some folk...What is this???

  • That's an old tune by Buddy Greene called, "Bubba The Wandering Gypsy" from a live album he did in 1987. Not sure if it's an original tune by Buddy or if he picked it up from someone else.

  • @AceOfHarps

    Thansk for answer one more

    (:

  • No problem at all. Glad to help.

  • Love your playing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • o MASSA da F1 hehe

tenho q comprar uma dessas gaita Bomerangue..:)

  • I know what you mean with the Lee Oscar. They are tuned a little sharp to sound brighter. To me it just makes me sound a little off key.

  • Play the boomerang buddy, life's short, enjoy it. Plus we'd all love to see it in a new vid!

  • Hey Todd, With regards to the Hohner Piccolo. After a search it apparently comes only in a Key of C unless you should find one in the UK. Can a Harmonica that is in a Key of C be re-tuned to a D-Flat or a High A?

  • You could retune a C to a Db, but not to a high G or A. They used to come in different keys, but now they only come in C.

  • Mr. Parrott, I have never had an interest in Harmonica's, but you have caught my attention! Can you please add something new?

  • I wouldnt call myself a collector, but i have some different types laying around - Hohner Marine Band (my favourite) - Hohner Golden Melody - Hohner Blues Harp MS - Hohner Pro Harp MS - Hohner Cross Harp - Lee Oscar And here comes my question.. Have you tryed the Hohner Pro Harp MS? If so, what is your opinion on the tone and playabuility of them? I find them a little harder to get to sound the way id prefer. I find them to sound very tight and crisp in a way. Not too responsive.
  • Thanks for your comment. Yes, I have tried the MS Pro Harps, but have never been a fan of the MS series in general. As for the Pro Harps, I would have to agree with everything you said - you nailed it. I guess Hohner introduced the MS series to compete with Lee Oskar, which I feel was a mistake. The original, non-MS harps were the best, i.e., the Cross Harp, Pro Harp, etc. Back then, I used to buy the Pro Harps & install Cross Harp reed plates, which lasted forever - longer that Oskars!

  • Hey Todd, Great playing. Buddy Greene is one of my favourites. I too collect harmonicas and have over 700 in my collection including one of the original 1930's boomerangs. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks so much... I'd love to see that old Boomerang harmonica - that would be neat!

  • heh, i have a piccolo in D. it´s from year 1937

  • my new favourite harpman!
