@hansensm1 you sir, are a retard. you obviously dont own a JK or you would know that you can actually run 35s on a STOCK, yes i said STOCK, JK with some minor treming of the fendors. and considering that JKs also come stock with 32s, adding a lift to it will allow 35s with ease. you sir just got owned
I love how people try to tell other people whats on their rig. lol. Im pretty sure that the person who wons the rig knows what tire size thay have on. its hard to tell in a video like this, especially if the tires are aired down. good lookin rig man, i like it. keep it up.
Sick vid man. The music fits in nicely. I was just in Maui and rented a Rubi. Not built up or anything but damn, it was fun to drive off road nonetheless. I will need to drive my Taco out to Moab one of these days.
hansen you are a retard don't you wish you knew a little more about your jeep... You must feel special. Whoever told you your info is a retard also.. So make sure you slap whoever told you that and make sure you slap yourself while you are at it.
@7PinkFloyd7 A 2 door is just as capable as a 4 door. I know people who own a2 doors that run with the 4 doors. There's always a situation where the longer wheel base helps out but there are times when it can hurt too.
@7PinkFloyd7 JK is just the new call letters for the 2007-current year Jeep Wrangler. Just like the TJ YJ and CJ. They all are for a different year range. I don't know why but Chrysler decided to put the J first for these models. The changing of the Letters also marks a major change to the body style and such.
@teto191919 you generally want a bumper wide enough for a winch, and the bull bar or whatever you wanna call it will deff save your radiator in a end over end roll..thats all i really know about it. if there are any other reasons, theyre new to me.
Great video & looks like you had a ton of fun, thanks for sharing with us, I think you did a great job at driving the trails, just that some dh's on here can't see the forest for the trees
The hill labeled as Yellow Hill is actually Axle hill. Yellow hill is the last big climb right after the rock pile. The dirt toward the top was really yellow for a long time, hence the name, although these days it is a little faded out. Kudos on hitting some tough trails! That is probably more than I would have done with a Jeep like yours :-)
hansensm1, you obviously dont know much about your Jeep or JK's in general. 3" lift will easily clear 35" tires. JK's have a high line style hood that gives them a ton of room for tires.
You obviously dont know much about your own car then. Do a bit of research. Teraflex says right on their site you can run 35's with only 2.5 in of lift and wheel spacers.
Thanks for correcting me on my own cars tire size. They are 35's. Tires don't look very big on new wranglers because of their large wheel well openings.
@msneyd x2, unfortunately you can't fix stupid. Personally I have a TJ but have taken a liking to the JKs. Am waiting for Fiat to throw diesel version in the states though, as I'm not a fan of the V6. Beauty of the JK is the ability to handle larger tires with less lift, something I have to do a bit more work to do on my TJ. Have the 4" Currie system with the antirock and 35 MT/Rs. Metalcloak fenders up front and full corners in the rear. An excess of room for the tires lol
Agreed. Stock wheels are what 17s? Only size BFG makes in the KM2 for a 17" wheel is the 35x12.50x17. No way are those tires 12.50" wide. 32s at best. Regardless, I'm jealous of this guy...gets to live in Utah and wheel Moab. :(
you didn't blow the bead the side's would have caved and if there stuff it would bend when it hit the rock plus many rock crawlers have bead locks to prevent that
I guess the next 15 mins of us resetting the bead and filling it back up with air was a figment of my imagination then, Thanks for clarifying that bud!
Blowing a bead doesn't literally mean the bead/ bead lock pops off. The term bead refers to the seal where the tire meets the rim. The seal is created by pressure. When that seal is broken all or most of the air escapes from inside the tire and causes it to go flat. That is a blown bead. While most buggies do have bead locks on their rims this buggy did not have bead locks or else the bead would not have blown...
jeep done great to not have a lot of things done to it just shows how great they r comp to other rigs check out my vids sometime different type of offroading wet, muddy, rocky
Really good video, I was thinking about getting a Jeep and even though we don't have anything like this on the east coast just watching what they are capable of has convinced me.
And also the HD video quality is amazing for a Flip Mini. May get one of those too.
They do quite well in good light and stable conditions. I had mine dash mounted and it did okay, but going down the steps at Black Bear the bouncing and jostling made the video a little choppy as the camera doesn't have image stabilization.
ohh cool! i would have never thought about that.. or thought to do that.. but yeah nicely done.. and to be honest i never really laugh out loud on videos but this one made ne giggle a little out loud hahah :]
It called techno and it's good. If you don't like it, mute the audio and play something off your iTunes. Plus its some of the only music YouTube doesnt block.

it doesnt matter what tire size you have, he nailed it even if with 33's. besides, the smaller the tire the more articulation (flex) you get.
