What a beautiful tribute to Burt! I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the hole that is still in your heart. I had my first Norwich for 13 and pray that I'll have my second little guy as long as Burt was around. He certainly looked like he had a long and happy life with you. Thanks for sharing him with us all.
Thanks for putting up this beautiful video. I lost my baby dachshund, Chili, 3 weeks ago. I hurt so much, but I know that we gave her a wonderful happy life and that gives me a lot of comfort. Your video reminds me so much of the life of my dog....we took her with us everywhere and she was our everything. It appears that Burt had a similar life....dogs are so special....I hope one day to heal enough to get another.

I just cam across your lovely tribute to Burt -- and I see that my breeder, skyscot, has been here before me. I bought 4 of my 5 Norwich from her and I have loved every one of them. Two are with me now but the other 3 I will never forget. I can still picture each like they were here yesterday, even now. But the pain that was daily, fades and I hope by now yours has two. Burt is a spitting image of Chester, my second Norwich, my very special buddy. I'm sure he was very happy.
Gods little gifts to us. Sorry for your loss, our family watched the video. I found your video because I had also posted a tribute video of my dog Grizzly the dolphin dog. I think Burt and Grizzly are waiting for us at the feet of Jesus
My wife and I are empty nesters and are thinking about getting a Norwich as our dog of choice. I first saw this breed in the movie Best in Show and fell in love with it. We want a small, house dog. This is just perfect. As far as the person who says that we need a 30 year dog, that is of course a sentiment, but think of it as having a family member being 150 years old. the illnesses and physical well being would be terrible
Thank you for sharing. I never knew what a Norwich Terrier was until we rescued one from a puppy mill to assist my husband as a seizure detection animal. My husband passed away on April 11th and as heartbroken as I was, Cheech gave me unconditional love & support. What amazing gifts they give to us mere mortals.
I loved your tribute to dear little Burt. It's clear that he was a beloved companion. I got my first Norwich last year - a sweet and loving little girl - from a breeder in Texas. She's the love of my life and my only regret is that I waited until I was 52 to meet this wonderful breed! I hope you are blessed with another little Norwich soon. I can't imagine my life without one in it ever again!
burt's so cute too bad he died but ass said in all the other comments he had a wonderfull family and home, my rabbit died yester day and we barried it today in our back yard :(
Awwe, this is really sad :( I'm terribly sorry for your loss....... I really like those pictures, he looks really muscular when he gets shaved like that!
I just lost my Norfolk Terrier last week at only 7 years old after battling lymphoma. I'm heartbroken & devastated, and I know how much you must miss your friend Burt after having his companionship for more than 16 years. I miss my little girl Trixie more than I can describe. Hopefully we will see our beloved companions again. God Bless them for the love they so freely gave us. Rest in peace Burt & Trixie.
Don`t worry about Burt..He`ll be alright in Heaven..Burt wouldn't want to see you like this;all filled with grieving.I hope you get over it soon..Must be quite hard for you..
As a long-time breeder of Norwich Terriers, this tribute truly warms my heart. All Norwich Terriers deserve a home and a life like Burt had. He was one very lucky little dog, and that's to say the very least. You will never stop missing Burt, but hopefully you will be blessed with another who will carve out a little niche of his own, and help to fill the void in your lives.
Thank you so much for your kind words....tears in my eyes. I knew once he hit 16, the days ahead were precious as we lost Burt's grandfather at age 16 as well. He died suddenly. Here one minute and gone the next and in my arms, so I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you again for taking the time to watch the video. God bless you!!!
@skyscot hi you are a norwich terrier breeder ? Do you have any norwich terrier puppies for sale or do you know anyone who does ? i am interested in adopting one . please let me know .
What a beautiful tribute to Burt. He looked like a very happy and beloved dog. We lost our Norwich on March 10, and are still trying to deal with the grief. He was almost 15 years old, and he was the joy of our lives. I can empathize with the loss you must be feeling, as however long we have them is never long enough. Thank you for such a lovely memorial to your wonderful Norwich.
You are very welcome. I know what you are going through. The emptiness never goes away and you can be sure your dog and Burt are playing together - those Norwiches stick together!!! Make a video too- it helps heal the soul.
sorry to hear about your dog,i know how u feel,i lost a dog myself in the past,i know have two cockapoos, love them like my kids, the girl is 7 and the boy is 1,check them out on my video, god bless burt

Norwiches are endlessly entertaining and always on the job.
A good long life, but still not long enough.
The government needs to spend money on making a 30-year dog.
Never mind everything else.
Fill the world with Norwich Terriers and the rest will take care of itself.
RIP Burt......

I'm really sorry, but the most important were the times when you stayed with he.
