  • What is there? A guitar shop? Anyway, great playing bro.

  • warning, do not listen to this song when already depressed. lol. it's like putting out a fire with gasoline.

  • well done!!. I was expecting your audience behind you to jump off their hooks and applaud your performance.

  • Am? Nice^^

  • you guys are faken haters! This man played this piece pretty well. The recording on the other hand could be a bit cleaner though.

  • Reeeeeeally Nice!!.. It sounds beautiful!!

  • I just Beethoven roll over, he never got famous by trying to copy everyones music..

  • you need to practice and look more at the tabs or what ever you use

  • nice . post some more i like it! ^_^

  • BAH! you just ruined my favorite piece!!!

  • El tercer movimiento porfavor :D

  • very difficult to learn this kind of pieces with tabs. You must learn some music theory.

  • good job dude

    al least he tried

  • 2nd movement please.

  • Any plans on posting new vids??? Can't wait to hear what your playing now!

  • Imo, this one is one of your best. Air is so far, though.

  • hmm. not perfect but great!

    good job dude

  • Get a job.

  • That was outstanding. Many years ago i tried to play it in the original c sharp minor

but didn't get very far. Did you know that after he heard yoko playing it on the piano John Lennon reversed the chords and came up with the song because.

  • Let's see you play better...

  • Lovely!

  • awsome dude!!

  • C# minor.

  • simples e legal!!

    gostei!

  • you're a really great guitarist

  • very good i'm

    trying hard to play that.....

  • you should watch lucarelli´s video. it´s amazing

  • I'm here to watch this guy play if you're gonna comment be nice to him not advertising someone else..

  • It sounds brilliant!

  • a lot of wrongs...

  • you should share your guitars

    lol

  • it sounds goob bro! thats what matters. I wish i could play that

  • Wrong...

  • I dont even no what tabs exactly are I can read notes and thats how i learned how to play this. Ofcourse a lot worse then him

  • 0:13 Bb ruined it. B would be proper

  • nope.

  • what nope are u saying? Do u even know how to play guitar?

  • valky456rie (0:13 Bb ruined it. B would be proper)

    me: nope.

  • Is is supposed to be a B.

  • Na dude. It's not supposed to be in B or Bb. Atleast not the way I learned it. Its supposed to be keyed in Am. It may not be youtube worthy yet but I still give him probs. This song is a bitch to learn how to play.

  • It was written in C# Major not B or Bb

  • El si tiene talento, toca muy lindo la guitarra , ademas que esa es mi sonata preferida

  • the best can you send me the tabs?

  • very good can you send me the tabs?

  • 6 f******* seconds in google

  • why do people always assume the player keeps tabs ready to hand out anyway!?!? some people use their ears

  • and the mvt. nº 3???

    hahaha

  • I messed around with this song, too... It's a hard one to learn with all of the strange positions. Sounds great, man. :)

  • This very very beautiful...

  • sugoi+

  • awesome

in guitar sounds better than piano

    well done

  • It's softer... but I prefer Piano

  • I prefer the piano one.

  • You would not think so if you heard the version done by Michael Lucarelli . look it up it's here on you tube.

  • i actually watched the whole video to hear the airplane :D

  • it`s good arrangement. He plays evenly, and it`s compatible with original notes of Beethoven. I invite to watch my version of Moonlight Sonata on Bass

  • Actually its not that great at all!But keep practicing dude!Needs more "Feeling" and its a bit too timid on the bass notes that really should be heard in certain passages!

  • aha, ur a tool, sounds fine. thats such a copout... needs "feeling"? the guys jus doin his thing, playin a nice song that sounds good. only so much feeling u can put into someone elses music too. Sounds fine, not amazing but its deff really good. Lighten up sucka. Peace

  • Thats a bit harsh! The guy is a fine guitarist no doubt and he wants to hear opinions!Im not classically trained either so i know how hard it is trying to play things like this without years of training!I could go on to totally destroy your point but ye seem like a good lad so i`ll let ye off!Actually sounds much better this time as i write this!Maybe i was a bit hasty!Peace ye`all!

  • out of tune! but great playing

  • SOBERBIO, LEGENDARIO.

  • Very nice. I'm trying to learn to play this myself. If you ever feel like posting a "How to play Moonlight Sonata" video, that would be so great.

  • You should be able to find the Tab for this somewhere on the web ma man!And when you do remember and play it with "Feeling"!HaHa thats a bit of a dig at SStrifer33 who doesn`t realize that this is from the "Romantic" era and should be played with your heart as well as your hands!Peace bro!

  • sounds great

  • yes tune the guitar

  • I totally agree with "lucidSK" down here!!!!

  • i.... i......

    dont understand sorry

  • 오 자랑스럽네요 ㅋ폭발적인 반응들..

    영어도잘하시네요 ㅎㅎ

  • i love the sound and i love that electric camo guitar in the background its hot...are all those guitars yours???

  • tune the guitar

  • Best version on youtube

  • Where can I find the tab for this one? plz

  • 911 tabs

  • Considering this was made before 1923, you can just go get the music. If you cant read music then you should just stop playing guitar because thats pathetic.

  • you know some of the best musicians play by ear and its their creativity that makes them phenomenal. not their knowledge for theory.

  • I dont get why people are so ignorant about this. If you are going to play an instrument, learn to read the music! It opens so many doors that so many kids leave shut because they are too lazy to learn. Unless you are dyslexic, you have no excuse to not learn to read music. So quit being so lazy!

  • Yeah reading music (skill) and music theory (knowledge) most definitely have to be trained/learned. But after all the theory and all the skill training (ear, reading,..) it still is about creativity. So I can see what poisonivy156 means.. Didn't some famous artist (forgot his/her name) once say: 'My belly is full of theory but when I play I forget it all.'

    just my humble opinion

    greets from Belgium

  • You know i really do agree with everything you said. I've always lived by the saying "First learn the rules, so you can break them". The only problem with focusing on music as solely creativity is that there are people that assume that they dont have to learn properly because they can be "creative" enough(some kids even assume that teachers are pointless). There are some cases where that holds true, but i personally wouldn't be as far as i have gotten without my instructor.

    Godspeed to ya.

  • Who says there is one standarized way to learn music? That is ignorant my friend. Stop being so negative and support your fellow musicians. Some of histories best musicians were blind. Would you call them ignorant?

  • Not an easy fingering for some of these shapes. Nice work. Try it at capo4 too.

  • Awesome timing with the airplane! Gj.

  • You left off a set of triplets in the second measure... not a big deal, but worth mentioning.

  • nice work dude ;)

    keep up the good work

  • best music ever (or surelly one of them)

  • Hope to be able to play this piece from beginning to end by next year. Practicing now but this song is very hard. I can hear how hard you've worked to get this piece to a level where you feel comfortable performing it on YouTube. I'll keep going with my work in progress and you keep going with yours. Hopefully someday I'll catch up with you, and you'll catch up with Michael Lucarelli. Kudos.

  • bien.....

  • ayyy nice job!theres this 1 classical song i dont know the name of but the chords go D A Bm then the Bm moves up one then G D G A can you tell me what that is please?

  • Canon in D

  • Pachelbel is Baroque, Beethoven is classical/romantic.

You can't compare the two, music underwent a HUGE series of changes between Pachelbel and Beethoven.

  • You can compare any musical composition you want lol. Personally I enjoy Beethoven more although Bach is a genius.

  • nice ... was best version ive heard...

  • I'd love to see you play the third movement of this song XD Basically impossible.

  • lmao I'm working on it.....

    I don't think it's worth it XD

  • great job that had to be a very heard piece for you to play I love Beethoven moolight sonata how long did it take you to play that piece?

  • I like when he messes up 9 seconds into the piece. besides that, not bad.

  • Excelent!!!!!!!!

the best version as i hear!!!

  • great job

  • i love how the song keeps playing and you see the reflection off the gloss on the guitars...so peaceful

  • Holy crap is that your shop??? Where is it?? I'd like to visit!! Because i need new guitar xD!

  • How is this Spam?

  • no idea...

  • the completest piece ever

  • Great job! You got the essence of this piece, I personally prefer it a tad slower though. :)

  • This song is really sad but i love it...

  • The man looks a bit sad......

  • he's feeling the song :)

    Did such an awesome job!

  • well played, you just missed a beat on the 2nd measure with the Am/G chord! but I can't do better for the rest (yet)!

  • Awesome job... this is great.

  • i like watching the cars go by

  • yeah... me too......

  • i like it too..

  • inanılmaz bişey yaa...

  • that start with Dm but Bm seems sounds better

  • i thought it started of with A minor in this video?

  • Yes

  • have u got a pick up in that guitar cause the high notes are way louder then my guitar

  • it's rest picking technique, which makes certain notes stand out.

  • A quand le 3eme mouvement ?

  • Great FInal The bes Love ad Peace.

Gran final, de lo mejor, amor y paz.

    tedMrpotato...

  • Sounds great!!

  • Arggg... The guitar is badly accorded, there are incredible errors, as soon as started, the sound is very badly recorded, and it's played without any feeling... Favorited: 386 times.... Oh my God! 1 star.

  • If you dont like it then upload your own version, and if you think you r "so good earth dont deserve my egomaniac person"...why arent famous??, im sick of this smartass jerks.

  • markoctavio, you are absolutely right. I guess that it was a bad day for me, and I was not what I am normally... What a strange event, indeed!!!

Do you accept my public apologies?

For you, and because I was really stupid and bad, I'll record a version of my own arrangement. I have a lot of work in front of me, but I love deeply this so beautiful song.

    Sorry, really!

And I don't think to be so good!

  • Ou, never spect an apoligie!!, in that case, the apoligie its for Tedmrpotato...lol..this is so nice!!...world-bad news all day, recognize that we all have mistakes...thats very nice... thanks to you Jive51!!

  • Very nice, but would you play it on a classical guitar for us, in the key of Bmin? I learned this years ago, and must learn it all over. Thanks.

  • great!

  • me gusta mucho la cancion que bien la toca

  • good song...there are some mistakes... but it's good

  • mmm it sounds okay, but i'd rather play it on the piano...it has more emotion.

  • best song on a guitar, ever, my advice, play more classical music.

  • man that was incredible. seriously. ive not been playing classical guitar that long and ive been trying for near enough since i picked it up to try and make my own version where you play all parts and i cant. your incredible.

  • Great work...beautiful music, beautifully played :)

  • A comment from Germany: Because I am playing this peace although I now it`s a difficult one. I gave "only" 4 stars because there are severel small mistakes. This means of course not I could make it better. If somebody have interest to listen my version, he or she could find it by YouTube.

  • nice job you got there, wanna see more !!!!

  • why didn't he tune his low E befor recording this?

  • someone got tabs for this song

  • Awesome! I wish I could play moonlight sonata on the guitar. It's hard enough for me on a piano.

  • awesome stuff..

  • does anyone know where I can find the tab for this rendition of moonlight sonata? I can't find it anywhere.

    Thx!

  • i have it, contact me.

  • Best version on Moonlight Sonata on guitar I've heard of great =)

  • awesome

  • lol snaithb actually thought it was a wallpaper initially but realised it wasnt after reading the comments and decided to cover up. Anyway, nice playing!

  • its so good!

  • wow, i cant believe someone thought the background was wallpaper. haha. open your eyes.

  • That WOULD be some kick-ass wall paper though! I've been trying to play this song for about 6 months and I can't seem to get past the first 30 seconds. I finally see what I was doing wrong.

  • My comment about the 'guitar wallpaper' was a joke. I can't believe that anyone thought otherwise. There are some dumb, po-faced people out there.

Anyway, tedmrpotato, nice playing as usual. Sorry to have to use your comment section to respond to simpletons. Guitar wallpaper - hahaha.

  • actually the guitars at the bak r real cos u can see reflections in em

  • really nice job, keep up good work

what make of guitar is it your using

  • Very good!!!

  • Very good my friend. That's some nice guitar wallpaper you have there!

Check out my Erik Satie piece on my page if you like.

  • those... are REal guitars..

  • there are a few mistakes, but it's not bad though, not bad at all. 'Should try to play it with more feeling and then it'll be very good

  • You guys care too much.

  • it's too fast man... usually the adagio sostenuto aka. first movement of Beethoven's sonata no. 14 (moonlight sonata) runs around 6 minutes and 50 seconds. and this video is only 5 mins. you've narrowed it down very well though, but i think the performance is too hasty. Well that's only my opinion and still in my opinion you're a very fine guitarist. I will be posting my version of the moonlight sonata's first movement on youtube shortly...

  • Another fantastic song that you've played. I'm jsut going through them all. I think they are so good.

  • ^^I think Beethoven is the genius here. Very nice, am trying to tab the version from pausing your video every split second!!

  • You are a musical genius and you have completely mastered this song! I tried it but gave up after the first four bars (which are very easy).

  • great work!! awsome

  • Nicely played. Although it sounds perfectly fine in A minor like you were playing it, I believe it sounds much more beautiful-- and sadder-- in D flat minor like it was orignally composed, but that is just my humble opinion :) Great job though, thats a difficult piece to both play and memorize for sure. Keep it up!

  • top strings are off pitch, tone your guitar at 5th fret, so pitches from open string to 10th fret balance out.

the melody could be more sustaining, the background could be more steady. Try adding more dynamics, since right now you are pretty straight forward with this piece, and didn't really bring out the romance aspect of this love song.

Btw, it's actually a really easy piece to learn, but really hard to perfect. I spent less than a week learning + memorizing, but spent months perfecting it.
