To be honest, I too am one that likes this version more than the original Lennon versions. Does it mean Adam Sandler is a better musician than Lennon? NO. It simply means that I felt Lennon's version was a scratchy incomplete demo with incredible potential. Had Lennon finished the song, taken it to a studio and really had that song fleshed out, Sandler wouldn't stand a chance. But as it stands currently, I enjoy this one more. At the end of the day the Beatles are still the greatest ever tho.

Wish I was there to jam with Adam on a song so cool. The fact that he's allowed to do it is awesome... not sure of all the rules against it these days, lol! I think he must have done it like John Lennon in the original take cause he sounds so unrehearsed and Real...and good. Terrific taste. The movie was great in many ways. I thought the movie was terrific. I just saw it, and it has had me re-examining my life and future in the way the best art does for me. I haven't stopped thinking about this movie. I thought the writing, acting, and directing were all top notch. Plus I enjoyed hearing this song in the movie, that was a re-examination as well.

my FAV is around 04:18, after it built up to the finale, and then Sandler REALLY sings, and it captivated the scene in Funny People SO WELL.

it was while it was showing a montage of him, on stage and audience was applauding him, and while he was smiling it did the ending of the song...and it just fit flawlessly.

Maybe not Apatow's or Sandler's best work, but i thought it was still wonderful!!!!

it was good seeing Adam's talents at same time on screen...comedy/music and it flows well.
