Manhattan Transfer was arguably the best signing quartet of the times. They're just an outstanding A Cappella as well. Two of my favorites of theirs are Twilight Zone - just superb... (remove the space in the URL before the .com)

Man' Transfer have got to be one of the most under-rated groups ever. God only knows why! l've had a vinyl LP for more than 20 years now and l treat it like gold!
@46619TAB Many thanks for your reply; but hell no,you aren't. At my age vinyl is about all l have left to hang on to and to start building a CD collection now would be financially prohibitive, even if l could still find the stuff l like, examples being...Man'Transfer, Leon Russell, Jean Michel Jarre, Mike Oldfield, Billie Holiday, King Oliver, Mills Brothers, but to mention a few. Plus the sound quality of good vinyl exceeds that of CDs. No thanks,,l'll stay with it, as l suspect will you!
@crankbv1 I will never give up my Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Moody Blues, Beach Boys ET AL as well as various classical composers that I have on vinyl! I've converted a few to CD for the car but there's nothing better than a good sterio system, a glass of wine and a hot summer night on the deck listening to good vinyl and looking at the stars!
@46619TAB Thanks for that. Sounds good to me..A man after my own heart. lncidentally, you list Fleetwood Mac,.As it happens,l have an original 45 of Albatross. lf that wasn't written with a view to crashing out with a few cans l don't know what is...Stay good !
They are so groovy and such cool cats. You think . . Thanks for posting this on You-Tube. They have been around for quite a while. They were here many years ago in D.C. Their voices and style are to die for. You think. . .
Janice Seigal looks Amazingly Hot and Sexy in that black drss....OMG!!!.....she is just beautiful...no wonder Im atrracted to BRUNETTES haha......Ive had it since I first saw her....WOW thankyou JANICE!!! xo
luvluvluv dis song =D my chorus class sings dis wif the ballrm dancers, of course the dancers dance nd we sing XD well we had to sing dis muuch faster since they were swing dancing (or somthing, idk) xD nd like we had to keep up the beat wif dem. Anyways =D great song nd Manhattan Transfer is pretty awesome
Thanks for posting.... in their world there is NONE better than Manhattan Transfer. They were (are?) the best. Besides I had a thing for the shorter girl.... dang there's a memory I didn't need to share.... but she was just soooo cute.
Manhattan Transfer is simply awesome! Their technical expertise, precision, interpretation and range just blows me away. They'd be an extraordinarily tough act to follow.

Laurel is good but Cheryl Bentyne sings circles around her. Cheryl has so much more of a jazz feel in her vocal dynamics than Laurel did.

Just added this to my 1976 playlist !. I have an hour of music for each year 1950-1975 and each of the past 100 years will play for over an hour.
It's all quality harmony and orchestral pop like this. Manhattan transfer and 200 more atists each have their own playlists as well.
Thanks for this upload and to all the uploaders who make music happen here.

I remember this show. It was the only time my mum and dad stayed up to watch the Old Grey Whistle test. I was about 19 at the time.

Always loved Man Tran but surprised to see them on The OGWT. Unless maybe that was Whispering Bob Harris singing on the left :-)

Perhaps the best gay group of all time ... and, yes, that DOES include The Village People.
