ive only ever seen a possum in real life once, right next to my house (i live right down town) i was so happy and talked to him for a bit (full grown huge possum) told my bf about him went to bed, in the morning he woke up and said "babe u know ur possum u loved so" "he is road kill" and right outside my house squashed possum :(

I think it's great what you do. I would love to be a wildlife rehabilitator but there isn't much call for it in my area. And I think it's cruel what people say about oppossums... they are here for a purpose too. people talking about them eating nasty things... would you rather the nasty things lie around to stink and for you to find later? I think not. Learn to share your world.

Possums are no better than Rats.  They eat dead flesh and carry all kinds of germs never let one bite you. They are NASTY! You should have killed them, they are far from endangered. YUCK!

They act just like this even if they spent more time with humans than other opossums in their short lives. I had two and they love to bare their teeth and hiss.
