  • i wanna see your reaction if there were two and a half of those snakes.

  • Is it poisonous?

  • @nephentes33 I'm sure you could eat it. Poisonous means it can harm you by eating it. Venomous is what snakes are, and this one isn't.

  • OMG.

I was lying in bed the other night thinking about how cool death adders were and how beautiful they looked. Then I thought: "how awesome would it be if there was a rainbow snake."

.... and well I'll be damned, there IS a rainbow snake.

  • Recent shed, so nice and shiny.

  • Sssssssssexy. Its wild, and it didn't even try to bite you? Nice.

  • @Totokorquil

It was more focused on staying out of the light, find some place to chill and getting away from the human that kept pulling it. Not all snakes turn and fight.

  • I love it. so pretty

  • The iradesance on this snake is amazing is this a type of boa?

  • @chris4me123 You're probably thinking the Brazilian rainbow boas, but sunbeam snakes aren't part of the boa family. Their scientific name is Xenopeltis unicolor.

Some other really cool iridescent snakes to check out are the rainbow boas of course as well as Macklot's pythons and D'alberts pythons. Although these guys aren't nearly as shiny as sunbeam snakes, they do still have a gorgeous iridescent sheen as well.

  • @chris4me123

no it's actually a type of burrow snake. Their heads are almost the shape, a little narrower, of that of a sand boa. I have a vid of one on my page. They are a pretty and soft species :]
