Hughie was the best show stopping guitarist LIVE I have ever seen.I was in Charlotte when he was playing with Skynard, when some guy rushed the stage. Hughie looked at the security guys, shook his head and with one HUGE arm grabbed the guy by the back of the shirt collar and nearly pulled him out of his shoes as he slung him offstage. And didn't miss a lick playing the rythym to FREEBIRD. It was the coolest thing I ever seen in a Skynard show! He was best with the OUTLAWS tho Truly missed talent
One of the best shows that I have seen was Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Outlaws, Wet Willie 1974 Municiple Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo - The real reason I got serious about playing guitar // God Bless Hughie Thomasson - Nice Tribute!!!

he lit a fire under the skynyrd band and made some beautiful music with them
god i miss him billy ean but am thankful for the many times i saw them play togetther
