Awesome! I wish Youtube would support 60p again, I want to bob deinterlace my home videos so I can upload them at progressive double frame rate. If we have 4k video on YT I can't imagine why we can't have 60p in standard definition.

@soundspark how is that an exploit and why would youtube want to prevent 60 fps anyway? Man, youtube's servers must really suck if they cant even handle playback at 60 fps at very low quality, plus there are all these 1080p videos that take up way more streaming data. What gives?

Search for "60 Fps und youtube " a Dance Dance game video which like the author of this video describes is an old video which still is in 60fps ONLY if you play it in the low quality 360p. The 480p is 30~fps

HQ is 30 FPS. When I uploaded it, HQ was not even available on YouTube ;) Now it seems YT only keeps the HQ versions of videos. So the 60FPS version seems lost forever.

@RealNC Pick the 240p version of the video, it should show it in 60 FPS again, although in a lot lower quality.

@RealNC I think it's still 60 on 240p, but the quality is atrocious. The "solution" i have found would be to capture at 120-180 FPS, 5-tap motion blur, then decimate to 30fps for upload. Compare my capture: v=iaADkVFZQxE with a straight 30fps video here: v=DcU6FUrpajc

I didn't do anything special. The video I uploaded is linked to in the description to the right and YouTube simply kept the 60FPS. This seems to be no longer the case anymore though.

It seems it doesn't work anymore for new videos. Videos that have been already uploaded in the past and YT kept them at 60FPS still play at 60FPS of course.
