Adiemus (pronounced /ædiˈeɪməs/) is the title of a series of albums by Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. It is also the title of the opening track on the first album in the series, Songs of Sanctuary. The lead vocal is Miriam Stockley from South Africa.

The music is often wrongly credited to the Irish singer Enya. She never performed in original or any other cover version. There are no lyrics as such: instead the vocalists sing syllables and 'words' invented by Jenkins.

There is one word in the lyrics that's Latin. Natus, which means born. Kind of spreads the imagination of what the other words could mean. Even if it is a fake language, it's still fun. Not that it matters of course because it is such an awesome song.
