@tacos4lolz yea THe story is Nicolas Flamel created the Philosopher's Stone using Alchemy (magic in the book) and used it to become immortal. The reason it's changed is because Alchemy is much less known in America.

(Spoiler) Like Ron and Hermione kissing in the Chamber of Secrets in the final movie. And in the Goblet of Fire the dragon never chases Harry into Hogwarts in the book, they do it to put more suspense and action into the movies.
