I just saw your video "A New Hope" and said that you should be safe now after everything that happened. Then I saw this. Never under-estimate the evil of women in this nazi-feminist age.
Randy, thanks for taking me for a ride in your sweet Chally! Ver very sad that you had to sell her. I hope you found another cool Mopar to enjoy. Mopar to you buddy!
I sold it a few years ago now and thinking back, really, REALLY wish I could have kept it, but can't change things now. Belgium? Are you actually in Belgium and do you have a Charger? Take care of it, getting parts must be a real headache!
Good eye! Actually, that was a rather junky Charger (I bought it just as a driver until my Challenger was out of the paint shop . . . which ended up burning down, so I actually drove that rusty, dented up Charger for almost two years). I ended up selling it to a body shop owner that was going to fix it up; I don't know if he ever did restore it or not.
i would love to get a 68-69 charger, what year was yours? i got a 72 charger SE with a 440, B5 blue with a white vinyl top, mostly original except the B&M shifter and the 440 swap and the rims and tires 15x10 in rear and 15x8 in front its lowered too, it looks mean on the road. i am tempted to sell it to get a 68-69 charger but i am connected to it so it would be hard to do, those 68-69s are getting really expensive and more rare cuz theyre shippin out the USA and hollywood still destroyin em
I had two of the earlier Chargers, a nice 69 and that not-so-nice 68 seen in the background of this clip (see my other video [rebirth of the Challenger] for some pictures of the 69 . . . and what became of it). You're right, those 68-70 Chargers are way too expensive to consider now; if you're happy with your 72, drive it proudly and take care of it.
ya its a hard decision to make,i will try and and get a 68-69 charger project without giving up my 72,i have been able to find some decent drivers for good deals, i guess its the economy, so did you like the 69 charger better than the other mopars you had?
I made a camera mount that attached to the bottom of the door and hung off the window channel; the camera could be aimed forward or backward (I don't film much going forward as I was concerned that something would get kicked up and destroy the lens).
Using metal strapping (and a lot of foam rubber padding) I fabricated a camera mount and ran a microphone out back to the license plate (I found out that the camera's built-in microphone would pick up nothing but wind noise after about 20 MPH).
Glad you liked it! I really had fun making these videos and got some strange looks from other motorists with the camera on the rack hanging off the door. Episode #IV (the whole story) in the works and will have a little more video. Randy
