  • my question is i have relaxed my daughter hair twice can i just stop and just condition it or do she need the big chop.. thanks for any help

  • What she says makes a lot of sense. I have been natural for 14 years and I am still learning all the wonderful things I can do with my hair.

  • "You had long hair when you were little, AND NOW YOU DON'T."

LOL! the story of so many of our lives! And we ask "why?". Stop The LYES! You Ain't gott to lie Craig!

  • A woman walks into a beauty shop and asks for an : "Ammonium Thioglycolate, Butyl Thioglycolate, Calcium Thioglycolate, Ethanolamine Thioglycolate, Glyceryl Thioglycolate, Isooctyl Thioglycolate, Isopropyl Thioglycolate, Magnesium Thioglycolate, Methyl Thioglycolate treatment" to be placed on her hair. The beautician says she doesn't know what that is, but she does offers 'relaxers'. The woman accepts.

  • I've been naturally and relaxed at different points in my life. I prefer my hair relaxed because of the ease in styling. I am NOT ashamed of my hair in it's natural state, I loved it. I only relax about 2 or 3 times a year. My hair has always been healthy whether natural of relaxed because i take my time with it.

  • @Craverofchocolate My hair is passed bra strap length and thick relaxed at this point. If I want I will chop it off again because it's mine, I can do that. The only issue with relaxers are the chemicals involved and most of the products and damage we do to our hair. If you have identity issues and want to look white then I think your problems go beyond what you are doing to your hair. Natural haired ladies can be just as self hating as relaxed. I appreciate the versatility of black hair.

  • Perm is actually alkaline. It has a pH around 14

  • I've done my research and I can't wait to do my big chop!!! THE BIG CHOP!!! No more relaxed hair....never again

  • now i was all with you until the point where you start talking smack about the people who get relaxers, saying that the toxins have gone to their brains and caused brain damage making them feel like they're pretty. that's just ugly. and child, God don't like ugly. so fix your attitude toward the entire outlook of perms, and then, maybe you can do a better, even believable video that will inspire people to do good to their hair. this vid just makes them mad and say "fuck you bitch" to you. <sigh>

  • 4:40 That is so true. I never seen so many half bald little girls in my life. In my time we used to get it pressed or where our hair natural in braids with barrets. These days you have little girls walking around with perms, weaves, or just a wannabe ponytail with no edges.

  • It has nothing to do with what anyone tells me. It has to do with how long a relaxer lasts, yeah I could straighten it with flat irons but how long will it last?A week, on hot days, just for the day?No, I'll use my perm. And nowhere in the bible does it say that I can't. I never have believed in weaving if my hair doesn't ever grow to be that length it just wasn't meant to be.I say to each her own(about perms) , I still can't stand dreadlocks my sister saw a demon that had dreadlocks.

  • My mom use to relax my hair at home without gloves all the time...her nails/hands were always fine. I've never really liked relaxers because of how long it takes :-s (and i don't like how it feels...lol) I just stopped using it a few months ago because I'm tired of doing it XD

  • Wow. I am a cosmetologist, and I am also a Hebrew woman who does not relax or straighten her hair. I am not hiding the truth from people in an attempt to "get money", you sound so ridiculous. PLEASE just stop making videos because you have so many half-truths here. It is my JOB to give people what they ASK FOR because I am in the SERVICE INDUSTRY it's not that serious. I am not sneaking relaxers on people's hair trying to make them crazy. And all acid is poison? Lemon juice is acid, lady...lol

  • @BeNotDeceived0630 i dont think she talked about cosmetologists/beauticians to affend them, she simply pointed out to ladys tht DO get relaxers tht yeah they wear those gloves for a reason, it will burn and damage the crap out of ur hair and skin

  • 4505 views 5 star rating and only 105 comments that tells me a lot of black women have seen this vid but can't comment because they know they are dealing with the truth so they can't put up no excuses well done sis i am a black man and i know sisters won't listen to me because they will think i am hating on them

  • love this finally a black lady who is standing up for the truth without none of the suger coating hopefully black women will be able to take the whole truth from another black woman keep it real sis let the real truth out

  • this vid. is soooo true

  • Great vid! :) Number 1 reason I stopped getting relaxers and I was 6 when I got my first :(

  • yea but when I stand up as a black man and say sisters your beautiful without the weeves and the relaxers i get man bashed, black women are the only women who get mad when you say they look better naturally, if anything you would think they would take it as a compliment throw they dead racoon in the garbage its 2010 get off the weeves and chemicals and regain your pride it seems like 90% of black women where weeves and 10% go naturaL

  • I've had many different hair styles and I too did the relaxers. No matter what, my hair seem to always break off. I kept it well cond, etc, but it didn't matter. I figured out this was nothing but true lye, so I stopped using it. Sported braids so my scalp/hair could become healthy again. Natural hair was my FINAL choice and I love my hair. I would never return to chemicals again and corp. america has no say how I wear my hair. Its a SHAME this stuff is still on store shelves.:-(

  • Im going natural now! Im 19 and Ive decided that I have been playing with fire for too long.

My mom is going natural now too. The funny thing is my hair is nice full and thick with the relaxer but it is so hard to maintain and if you put heat on it! Oh no it becomes very tricky.

  • IM 19 going natural to 3 1/2 month transitioning!

Us black women should embrace are selves, are texture is unique no one in the world has hair like ares! ;D

  • Unfortunately many of our sisters feel that the only way they can manage their hair is to relax it. I had that mentality some time ago and one day I saw the light as I'd gotten burnt using a texturiser whilst pregnant. Thank God I woke up and decided to stop using chemicals. Its a journey for me learning what my natural hair does and does not like but I'm in it for the rest of my life. I LOVE MY NATURAL HAIR. Its just a shame many others dont feel the same.

  • in the book called "Hair Story" by Ayana Byrd chemical relaxers were made to be harmful and deadly to the African Americans. Its horrible that i did not know about this. :(

  • I didnt know that O_o

  • Natural is just a hairstyle or hair preference. People should not be made to feel bad, or "less black" because they choose to wear relaxers or weaves. Yes it is sad that some black women view natural hair as "bad" or "ugly." But it is just as bad for women to believe that they are superior because they are natural, or view relaxed and weaved hair as "bad" or "ugly". Reverse hatred is not the answer. It is best just to respect others for their choices and be content in the skin you're in.

  • Also I got to say in a way naturals are better than relaxed women. Why? Because they accept their hair for what it is and move forward with it. Not saying that they won't ever wear weave or wear their hair straight. But they know their true beauty and accept it. Not kill it for something else. You do know when you perm your hair you are killing it, right? Rusticbeauty, Hherflyness79, Blaqueindigo, and Najahface are naturals. Beautiful as well. Especially Rusticbeauty and Herflyness79. I love em.

  • I dont think the sista was speaking about hair style or preferences...she was speaking on how the chemicals from perms poison the body.I believe she is correct on the fact of a health issue not even including how the chemicals poison the sewer systems and oceans.I believe the social acceptablity factor has a lot to do with why people perm their hair and poison their system without regards to health. PEACE!!

  • As far as the miseducation of our daughters...it's all about what we teach them about their hair. After going natural, I realized, like India Arie's song, "I am not my hair." My hair does not define who I am. Neither straight, nor natural hair can define who I am inside. Rocking straight hair does not mean that I am trying to be white, just as much as rocking natural hair does not mean that I am more black.

  • I wouldn't say being natural means being more black. I will say it is showing your natural beauty. Meaning not being fake about your image.

  • hmmm....i'm not sure ladies! I at one point felt the way you did about relaxers and the whole natural thing. I went natural about two years ago, thinking that it would be great and wonderful for my hair and that it would mean less management. BOY WAS I WRONG.... I found that my hair required more work!!! I also found that my hair could suffer almost as much damage being natural.

  • Alright I love what you're saying but i don't know about the chemically imbalanced part, for all relaxed heads. But i will say it causes women to be emotionally imbalanced in the way we view beauty.

  • I have 'really nappy hair' and it's fabulous. Any type of hair is maintainable. Just have patience.

  • You're right...partially. I have a like 2 friends with permed hair that is actually REALLY long because they take care of it.

About the real nappy part, so is mine, like i swear its beyong a 4c lol but it isnt hard to maintain once you find the right products. I have a great leave in conditioner that leaves it very soft n managable. U just need 2 find product that work 4 u, no hair is unmanagable

p.s a relaxer-nothing chemical is good, n it goes into your scalp n body,

  • 1) relaxers break the chemical bonds in your hair, destroying it in order to make it straight. there is no "RIGHT" way to destroy your hair.

    2) no hair is impossible to maintain. you just need to relearn how to care for it properly.

    3) if you dont relax your hair because you are ashamed of it in its natural state, then exactly why do you do it?

  • i agree with you but saying it "poisons your brain" is a little over the top

  • Weaves on the other hand are for women who are transitioning maybe from a bad relaxer experience or by any other damage. weaves help grow our damaged hair out. I think all hair textures are beautiful, I just prefer a loose pattern for myself.

  • I disagree weave is very unclean. and the tension to weave the weave will only stiffle you hair, and cause further damage. The best way to grow damaged hair is cut away the dead hair keep your new growth oiled and cover you head with an satin scarf. natural is best even brushes break your hair.

  • That is true, trimming the split or damaged ends of hair helps maintain healthy hair, and keeping new growth and the ends of your hair moisturized and oiled will promote a healthier scalp which leads to more growth in return. Basically, staying away from heat and frequent hair manipulating while wearing protective styles(head covering, ponytails, ect..) will prevent breakage.

  • I seen so many women end up bald on the sides from those ponytails lol.

  • LMAO I know what you mean, and they try to hide it by slicking some gel on the ends using a toothbrush, we all see ya bald.... it's because some women be causing so much stress to the sides by putting them pony tails on too tight, stretching the hair so tightly, they should be loose.

  • Kinky hair needs a detangler in order to manage it. But if it's really coarse, it will break when it's combed even gently. Natural hair needs to be left curly not straightened, because all the combing will break it. A professional who knows what they doing willl keep your relaxer or texturizer healthy and growing.

  • white, black, ect.. get chemical processors in their hair to change it's texture. no no that old myth about shit going into your brain LOL seriously that's a lie, where did you get that from? So we can still straighten our hair with a flat iron, mightest well get a relaxer, because using too much heat on hair can cause breakage.

  • Doctors tell you to cut or limit perms when you r pregnant because it is proven to go into the placenta...if it can reach from the top of your head to the placenta, I'm sure it reaches your brain

  • I have seen little bitty girls with tons of extra hair weighing down their hair. Also the chemicals are deadly. Do we black women have good sense?

  • Don't matter we imitate white hair and we look like fools to them. Have you ever seen how foolish white folks look with cornrows and locs imagine how we look to them when we imitate their hair yeah think about it!

  • "acid is basically poison" thats pretty funny

  • Bless your heart woman. I'm proud to lately have seen this message slowly but surely get louder and a somewhat movement. Black people both men and but especially women have been blinded, as your saying the poison has poisoned the brain. Ignorance!!!?...(sigh). black people are a beautiful people natuarally... wake up! there is so much to say but anyway , good vid.

  • Lol I always wondered why they wore gloves...very informative vid. I have been transitioning for over a year now, and although I began transitioning for reasons other than the dangers of relaxers...I am glad that I am doing it for these reasons too.

  • thanks to you sister...its a long process, my sister is going through it now...i suggested to keep her hair braided until it grows out...keeping hair braided means less fuss and faster growing time...good luck to you sister, glad to know you are stopping the lyes!!!!

  • You're welcome, and it is a longggg process! Thanks for the good wishes, and blessings to your sister as well :)

  • A lot of black women are in this mind-set of this is America and we can do whatever we want. Just because we have the freedom to do something does not mean we should do it. We need to use the freedom wisely. Sometimes I think we as a people been enslaved for so long we got free and got crazy. I really find a lot of us to be simple. We need to be more tough-minded and stop saying anything that makes us feel good. It does not help.

  • @kmariechannel Shalom. I appreciate ur very informative video. I had natural hair before got a haircut with a relaxer. I decided to stop relaxing my hair I guess subconciously thinking it was better...being ashamed of my own hair and why? I have the best hair. Limp lifeless hair is NOT the way to go. Thanks, sista

  • God made us perfect with natural hair. What is wrong with us? This is so approproiate for us to hear. Thanks alot. I have been natural for two years, and I finally have my hair back. I wore wigs and hair dye for years. Even self-permed my hair. I didn't know I was destroying my hair. The hair bonnet with vitamins in ithem do work, by the way. It has helped my hair to grow faster. No dye, no lye.

  • not just the hair products there is poison in deoderants, food, and water. we have the answer to why we all develope cancer or diseases and have a short life span. the bible tell us what to do...God made us to live natural... plant your food and eat with natural soil and not the generic chemical man made soil.

  • amen. I agree.

  • ISAIAH 3:24 AND IT SHALL COME 2 PASS IN STEAD OF SWEET SMELL THERE SHALL BE STNIK AND INSTEAD OF WELL SET HAIR BALDNESS!! concening the dauhters of zion read the whole chapter sistas ....shalom

  • Maybe that's why a black woman with a perm acts crazy! LOL

  • some black women and men think black women are ugly without perms and weaves. That's funny cause I don't see ugly when I look at Rusticbeauty, Blaqueindigo, or Jacenta1.

  • I agree with what you say and I have decided to go natural. I am going to do braides for a while to get the new growth to come out and then I'm gonna chop the relaxed ends instead of doing the big chop. So I am only going to do weave with braids until my natural grows out and then I'm going to rock my puffs lol. And I'm 13 years old. My mom also is thinking about going natural with me.

  • YAYYYYY...... good for you!

  • did the beatuician wake up the individual and make them get a relaxer NO women come in and get relaxers because they want one. Dont hate on the cosmotologists because they are makin money for their service of putin the chemicals on their clients hair. Women are smart and not just putting chemicals on their hair and not knowing what its goin to do to their hair. To each his own if you want a relaxer its ur business & hair do what u want with it

  • i will pray that you will see the light....

  • @tim5220 take it or leave it. Don't agree, just go away instead typing LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG comments. LOL

  • @tim5220 DID I COME OUT THE WOMB ASKING FOR ALL OF THESE SHOTS I OR MY PARENTS ISNT SO KNOIWLEDGEABLE ABOUT? NO. BUT I GEUSS ITS OUR BUSINESS HUH. ITS THE BUSINESS OF PILOTS WHO FLY PLANES JUS TO SPRAY STUFF N AIR, TO EACH ITS OWN

  • thanks for the heads up. I've been natural for a year now because the perm broke all my hair out in the back and I just said oh well and got it cut off BALD!!! It grew back in patches but eventually filled in....it's thick and natural...and i use BB conditioner and oil mosturizer on it so it won't dry out. It's growing and i'm shedding more now than i did with the perm....naturally.

    TATC

  • i agree..the fact that you have to put gloves on in order to put it on SHOULD EXPLAIN IT ENOUGH!!!

  • u would think so, but people put this creamy crack in their heads everyday. Beuticians wont' tell u this, b/c they want money. we must think and be aware ourselves.

  • I completely agree with ahdree 23..I am natural also and have bin wearing weaves n because i havent been touching it it has grown soo much (sew in weaves are excellent!) ill post my hair journey up ina couple of months.. we all are entitled to our OWN preferences.

  • Great, i look foward to seeing your video!

  • see, but the same could be applied about hair dye, bleaches...

But yeah, black women should embrace there natural texture

  • hmmmmmm SO! perms ARE fuking up the minds of these black women! DAMN lol and i thot it was funny just joking about it. look honestlydo u really think black women are going to listen to this? trust me i tried NONONO! dont say to much they'll label u a "HATER"

  • You are so right. Agreed.

  • waw, THESE KORENS are making a killing and they know this. But either way, i never looked at it this way, well since i am not a woman but good observation sister.

  • Im natural but im gonna wear weaves....it grows my hair...sorry!

  • PREACH!!!!

  • PREACH!!!...it surprises me that black women dont realise this!!!? if the chemicals in a relaxer can actually burn your fingerprints off your hands!!!!( hence the gloves!!!!)...then what the fuck is it doing to your hair?

  • nursing student here, smoking and free radicals cause hair and nails to yellow, not relaxers, and she is somewhat right, our bodies have tons of pores and everything can be absorbed into the body, including water, thats why your body hits a homeostasis and shows signs such as wrinkling of the fingers, the body is absorbing water, relaxers are not abusive when done right, there are plenty of relaxed women on youtube with healthy, long, relaxed hair, research them.

  • i agree with some of your points, but what u have to realize with relaxers, is even IF these women do have a strong grade of hair(which i don't see how since relaxers steal and weaken strands of hair) internally it can and does mess with the balance of the human body and because of the chemicals contained in the relaxer (many of which are poisons) causes the mind to become off centered. This is one main reason men say we are crazy. WE MUST be careful about what we put on our scalp.

  • lol. relaxers do not result in brain damage that make people chemically imbalanced and delusional. Maybe you are talking about a figurative imbalance rather than a literal imbalance.

  • anything u put into your temple affects u. Chemically processed foods, medicine, and YES hair chemicals poison the body. You must be careful in what u put in your system, it can and does imbalance the body. The more imbalanced u are, the more u can allow for spirits to take entrance into your being. ITS ALL SPIRITUAL, and they know chemicals are an easy way to imbalance the mind.they know this, u don't.

  • great video i agree with you about perms check out some of my hair videos i have decided to go natural!

  • great!!! love to see the results!!

  • nice video, what your saying is only common sense, but i guess we lost that to during slavery LOL.

  • to all the people defending the perm and questioning the facts she is stating in this vid. why dont you do ya own research and prove her wrong? not tryna start nuthin but why waste ya time callin her a liar when u can jus prove it by looking up some valid points besides that she i a 'hater' lol...lmao

  • One of the reasons why they dont touch the relaxer is because it will turn your nails yellow

  • Girls who rock weaves get talked about for no good reason. Hair is like clothes, you want to change your look as often as possible. I know a lot of sistuhs that rock weaves but their hair is as natural as cotton underneath so they have really well maintained hair. Thick beautiful afro hair. I love to wear braids and micro braids and I do not put chemicals on my hair and I dont rock wigs

  • that's what they want u to think...u have been tricked. Hair weaves cover your natural God given hair. Why do u need hair when u already have hair??? If u allow your own hair time to grow, u would not ever ever use a weave or extensions. The point is we abuse our hair, then cover it up. Why b/c we are worshipping an image that isn't us. Read Revelations 13:15 (sorry for late post)

  • I get what your saying but you are not a Dr. nor a Chemist so I think that most of the info you are saying is not ACCURATE.

If you go to blackhairmedia there are a lot of ladies with relaxers that have LONG hair ! you need to do more research before you post such videos.

I do not relax my Hair I just hate when people come on yourtube acting like they know what they are talking about ......

  • i'm not a doctor, nor a chemist. But guess what. neither are you. If you can make ASSumptions about me, then i can do the same. Having or not having Babylonian credentials does not negate the truth of the video. Stop being in denial. SEEK THE TRUTH

  • Ok Ms. Dr/ Chemist I can assume that you are neither a Dr. or Chemist because what you are saying is just your observation and opinion. You have yet to post any links to info on anything. At least i posted a website in where you can search and Find ladies with relaxed hair that is long .... if you relax you hair and take care of it, it will grow alos.

  • you might be a little slow.this video is for information purpose, like most utube videos are.if u ever want to verify anything i said, use those fingers and go to google. Also, WOW. A big Who cares if black women have long hair!Thats not even the point of the video. Black Women ARE putting chemicals in their hair that DOES make their hair not grow. Not only that but it causes IMBALANCES in the body/mind/spirit, and they also do this same thing to their kids? Where is your outcry about that? EXACTLY

  • the maker of this video is not only talkin about hair growth when it comes to relaxers. Yes there are woman who get relaxers who do have long hair--- but there are other issues that result from relaxers that this woman is talkin about.Long hair is not always healthy

  • Damage to the skin I heard of maybe but chemical seeping through bone (skull) is something new!!!!!!!!! (lol) Anyways I understand what you saying though its true. I don't put that crap in my hair and my hair is beautiful and long...

  • I so love ou sista. God bless you! I'm happy to say that I just cut the perm out of my hair and I now have twist. I'm done with perms. DONE. Dude in order to be "beautiful" we have to have straight hair or"pretty" eyes. Hello! we were not born with straight-fine hair and light colored eyes. Just be your race. The toxins in perms are probably why many African Americans perform badly in school. The chemicals are slowing our brains down.

Thanks for the video, thank you for posting truth!

  • Todah for the comment, you are 100 percent correct!

  • God bless you girl

  • i have a friend who does autopsy's and he said when they do autopsy's on black females with perms they saw that they had MOLD ON THEIR BRAINS. which was caused by constant chemicals (perms) over a period of time!!!

  • ::jaw drops:: ::picks up jaw:: ::rereads:: ::jaw drops again:: whoaaaaaaa. I'm glad I ditched the creamy crack at age 15.

  • they need to stop with these lies also

  • lye relaxers are made with sodium hydroxide. no lye relaxers are made with calcium hydroxide and still have lye in it. Perm is short for permanent waving and is made with ammonium thioglycolate.

  • I know a few of black girls that are baldheaded.

  • I be seeing girls with broken off hair as well. I saw a little black girl the other day that was baldheaded.

  • putting a chemical on your head that people protects them selves from. you are so true. I am glad you are telling us to realize that. Have you made a video about black men telling black women to like natural hair. I see them saying things like nappy headed. I love my natural hair. It's long and full.

  • i did a video telling black females to wear their hair natural. its called 36 deadly chambers: hair wars; a laser-guided surgical-strike etc etc etc. something like that.

  • love this video.

  • I don't get relaxers or perms. But I use olive oil to keep my hair shiny and beautiful.

  • you are so right-there are not many videos about this- many people say it gives their hair versitility-you can just use a flat iron for that which wont kill brain cells.

  • this is a great video.

  • Lye refers to sodium hydroxide, which is a very strong base, so no lye relaxers really are no lye... just that they replace that particular strong base with another strong one.

  • An acid is a poison???

That's 6th grade chemistry and you got it wrong...

I understand what you are trying to say, but many of the claims that you are making in this video are completely inaccurate. First of all, the reason why relaxers work is because they are basic. Not acidic, but basic. To different extremes, like hot and cold. But perms are very dangerous... fun fact, if you were to leave a lye relaxer on for a long period of time, it will turn the fat on your scalp into soap!!!

  • i get what you saying, but a lot of acids are poison..some are good for us, like the acid that lines the stomach, but for the most part, acids are dangerous, thus handled with care. apprciate the comment!!

  • how can one get a close friend who may be deep in this weave and relaxer game, to stop using and abusing? I've had locs for 5 years...love it. But I just try to throw pros of being natural her way. But it's all up to the person. I need to tell her to get on youtube...like you said, the REAL news!

  • Tell her to look at the natural hair videos that are on here. There are many sisters who cut there hair to remove the relaxer, but she doesn't have to do it. I let mine grow out, and it took about 7-8 months.

  • 5 stars!

  • OMG! Thank you so much for this post. I could not have said it better. My girl Blaque Indigo would love this vid! Just like I do!

  • relaxers are POISON!!!!!!!!!!! It breaks my heart that our sisters are so deluded. I pray for those babies who don't have a choice.

  • I LoVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVe UUUUUUUUUUUUU!

  • I've seen a childhood pic of Sherri Shepherd recently on "the view." Her hair was extremely full/thick (do a google search: "sherri shepherd childhood photo") and flowed pass her shoulders. she had a problem with that "thickness," i recalled her saying, and of course she most likely added lye. She then revealed her current straight hair under her wig; it was ghostly thin!... some of us, unfortunately, will learn the hard way.

  • Nice post. I have been considering going natural for a few months now and this has really pushed me in that direction. Thanks! :-)

  • Nice post. I have been considering going natural for a few months now and this has really pushed me in that direction. Thanks! :-)

  • Go for it!!! You will be glad, and blessed with hair like other sisters have. This girl on youtube has an awesome video with her going from permed to natural state and you will see the thickness/length of her hair!!

  • Todah for this video.

I have always said that the best way to hide some life threatening disease would be to put it right on in a box perm! lol

Maybe this is why so many of our sistas are bugged out of their minds...no telling what is in those relaxers that we DO NOT know about.

I had some sista on another comment board damn near chase me away like I was Frankenstein for even mentioning what was wrong about altering what we were Yah given.

The animosity straight up tripped me out!

  • Yes it really is awful. Most black women dont realize the chemicals we put on our hair can do so much. Black people have to be told. Those who still do wrong, well, you can tell that God is not dealing with them. I beleive you about the sister being crazy, some of us are truly not going to get it. Sad to say but true.

  • 99% of black women will NOT "get it". The most high is doing them like he did Pharaoh's stubburned ass...Dealing with Esau's products and ways! Always trying to pass for white enough for those red devil bastards...

It's going to take Judah to completely forsake yall, for the Other tribes, And the most high Taking away Esau, before you want to look good for us? My own sister lost her beautiful Afro Puffs to that garbage...You bone headed nigga women better wake up, before it's on!

  • this coming from me, a formerly permed sis with long hair: stand a head of well-groomed natural hair next to a chemically processed head of hair/weave and there's simply no comparison! yes, your hair can and will grow in its natural state. I am living proof: in only seven years, my natural hair has grown from about 2 inches to past bra-band length. I anticipate reaching waist-length next year, but I will never perm again. I, too, wish more of us would love ourselves as we we created.

  • you & 1000 other people can hit the streets and try to change this but it probably won't work our people r lost, that was funny how u said when u tell women bout this they become mad b/c they realize the damage done,i myself seen 11 yr olds bald b/c they've permed since age 3,i never used to believe but now i think ony the most high can change things, great video

  • yes its really awful, you right, The Most High has to change the spirit of people, and awaken them, we can only help but doing what we are told to do. It really is sad that people perm the heads of their daughters, i pray they wake up.

  • damn shame, black women bought into the myth since birth that their hair can't grow and thats bullshit, well once again the only answer to this, sorry to say it, is to hope and pray the most high brings judgement on 2/3rds

  • I pray people wake up to the truth of things!!

  • positive vid. Good luck with the hair challenge...!

  • I think that you are on point! You are speaking the truth. Thanks!

  • Todah!

  • No wonder all the girls I run into are nuts lol

  • Isaiah 3:17, "Therefore, the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion..."

    v. 24 "...and in stead of well set hair, baldness.."

What u say at the beginnin of the video should be common sense. But they won't pay attention. And perming lil girls' hair should be considered child abuse.

    Stay naturally beautiful

  • Scriptures tell us, common sense tells us...Thank you for the comment!

  • very profound post thank u

  • Sorry to hear about your mom. I am glad you went back natural, its the best thing we can do. We grow out from the lies society has told us that say only limp hair is beautiful. Afros, thick and curly hair are beautiful.

  • I grew my hair untouched for years until it got unruly. I had a lion's mane. I thought I would go and get a dry curl perm to make it more manageable...big mistake. 3 days later all of my hair fell out. Thankfully all these years later my hair has grown back. I twist my hair now untouched with chems. Never again people.

  • Ahmen!!! We can go natural, we just have to get back to knowing how to style our hair when we do. Its about manitenance, and a lot of us would rather pack a chemical in our hair than comb it. Sad.
