  • ..the good guys don't win all the time

  • The best end scene ever!!Brad Pitt deserved an Oscar!

  • fucking amazing film

  • 2:14-2:60 so brilliant act, I love brad pitt so much <3

  • If anyone had any doubt that Brad Pitt isn't one of the most brilliant actors of our generation, take a good look at this scene. A lot of actors, particularly ones labeled as "pretty boys", couldn't have pulled this performance off with such conviction.

  • 2:54, there is a subliminal message : It's Gwyneth Paltrow !

  • Disturbing, at the end of 2:54 you see a white flash. That flash is her severed head...

  • @Johanproducties I think it's just a photo of her, but they putted that image as a reference to what was crossing Miller's mind. If you notice, it's like a flash of memories are passing in his mind and one of them is these picture of the face of his wife, and it seems like that image it's what makes him decide to pull the trigger, i mean, it appeared in his mind and as it appears he then shoots him without the hesitation he was having before

  • That was fantastic acting. How was it bad at all?

  • And no, guys, that was the worst acting I've seen other than in "The Room". WHAT'S IN THE BOOOOX?! D:

  • @Jonathanaturmom Bad acting? Brad? why do you say that, i thought it was fine.

  • ...so what was in the box? ;D

  • Not wrath, justifiable homicide.

  • What's more deserving after raping beating and then killing an innocent life? A quick death from a bullet or torture?

  • @ForFREEDOM13 many serial killers had fucked up childhoods which caused them to have blood lust.

  • idk what he did to the children or if they were even there. did they die?

  • it's bad that he killed his wife. it's also bad that he most likely beat the shit out of her and raped her and then killed her and proceeded to rape again and then took an erotic suvenier and gave it as a gift to the victims husband. if we're speaking realistically, that's what happened.

  • Perfect ending. That`s it.

  • brad pitt was amazing in this movie

  • what's in the boooox???:(

  • What was in the box?

  • @redshark618 The head of his wife:(

  • the most dramatic scene i ever seen..Brad it's just an amazing actor..I cryed at that scene:(

    Amazing muvie !!!I I give 10+ !!!i saw this muvie 4 times:)

I also love 7 years in Tibet!

  • fantastic movie , i give a 10 in IMDb

  • anyone notice the flash of that woman's face at around 2:54?

  • @GraciousLizard it was his wife's face....did you saw the muvie?

  • @elyanyha yeah

  • @GraciousLizard than that means you understand why was that women face there:)

  • Wouldn't he get off on temporary insanity?...I mean, yeah, he'd have to be fired, but with a good (Jewish) lawyer, I don't think he'll be charged guilty

  • I love reading people here saying "oh I`d kneecap him or shot him in the dick" blah blah blah...if you were married, in love, then some crazy fucker put her head in a box, tramatized, shocked and broken, you`d shoot for a headshot too...although I would have aimed for the lower neck, just to watch him choke for a minute before I unload the clip in his fucking face

  • "If you kill him, he will win." No, fuck that. If you kill him, he'll be dead. Sounds like a solution to me.

  • @Zooroonis and Twelve Monkeys )

  • dude, its so fucking sad bad..

  • My heart was pumping during the last few minutes. but tbh I found the ending a little abrupt and disappointing. I mean the guy was hyping it hard in the car and people told me the ending would be mind = imploded. also as soon as I saw the package I guessed what was in the box

  • This part was so fucking disturbing... but a brilliant twist.

  • so dramatic its going to make me cry

  • I'm sorry, but I'd put 6 bullets in him and 1 in myself...

  • i used to kill serial killers, then i got an arrow in the knee

  • brad pitt's best movie, next to fight club

  • 8th sin: Shooting John Doe in the nuts.

  • Yeah I wouldn't be able to hold back and I would probably fill him with bullets. Just that I wouldnt start with the head.

  • why kill him? why not desfigurate his face and leave him like the phantom of the opera?

  • @MrShapiroman this guy probably wouldn't give a shit if he had a disfigured face.

  • they should have beat him with the gun, to death or close 2 it.

  • did anyone see a lady's face at aroudn 2:52?

  • @jonaslum it's the detectives'wife face

  • oh god!

  • such brilliance, very good ending and the philosophy behind john doe's doings, this is one of the best neo-noir's ever, one of the best detective films, its the one of the best films in alot of things

  • The first movie i shouted out loud: "OH SH*T!"

  • Ernest Hemingway also wrote; People die, but death is not defeat. I agree with the first part.

  • "Ernest Hemingway once wrote the world is a fine place, and worth fighting for... I agree with the second part"

  • I'd shoot him in both his buttchecks so he'd always have to sqauat to shit like he's in the middle of the woods.

  • Why don't they make films like this anymore??? Shawshank Redemption etc. films from the 90's are the best ever made. Fuck special effects this stuff is real

  • @jammyguk no the ones from the seventies are the best

  • 2:40 who farted?

  • WHATS IN THE BOX WHATS IN THE BOXX!!!

  • I think the 'facial' acting of Brad Pitt was really good in this scene, but there is something that bothers me about the way he says "Oh God, Oh god" that just sounds really, really stale. It doesn't seem to match the face it's coming from(the face shows and extreme emotional disposition, the voice just sounds loud)

  • Kevin spacey so good !

  • To this day I miss Mills. He was a great partner and a good man. In all my years on the force, he was by probably my favorite (maybe 2nd favorite) partner. John Doe is a monster and I hope he rots in hell

  • oh really @ognimoddd? i don't recall him backhanding bruce wayne in batman begins or the dark knight

  • It would have been cool if he had shot him seven times.

  • Pause on 2:54. A picture of Gwyneth Paltrow is shown right before John Doe gets shot!

  • one of the most dramatic scenes ever!

  • I really wish that Morgan Freeman killed him instead of Brad Pitt

  • I would have become wrath myself. Then I wouild have shot him in his arms and legs, leaving him writhing about as he tried to act cool and not wimper. Then I would have stepped up on his wounds and pissed on them. Then I'd leave him to be arrested. Not a good Hollywood ending like this one, but, hey, that's me.

  • I get chills when morgan freeman back hands him

  • @fohiteerfc11 morgan freeman has backhanded someone in every movie he has been in

  • I thought it was going to be the baby..... or while they were in the car I thought Mills and Somerset were going to be the last two. Anyway great twist. So surprising.

  • ahhhhhhh whats in the boxxxxx .. lol newb xD

  • i would have kill him too. but using a nail cutter...

  • sesevenen

  • this is the most shocking movie scene I've ever seen.

I watched this when I was a kid, and I remember I could not sleep well at that night. now nearly ten years later, I watched this again and I felt similar feeling.

this movie is trully well composed nice movie.

  • I would have let him go to jail, so he get gang f*cked by each and every single one of those hairy, sweaty, smelly, fat, queers.

  • Incredible acting!

  • kevin spacey = best bad guy actor EVER

  • @Jeo127 what????no!!you're so wrong!!i belive he was very great in this muvie and in the most muvies i've seen him acting. He plays a very hard role in this muvie.you try to do this and then we will tell you how bad you was...

  • @elyanyha have u gone crazy? i was saying he is the best actor to be a villian....

  • @Jeo127 be more specific next time:)sorry..

  • i'd empty the clip into his legs

  • I would´ve done the same as Gerard Butler in Law Abiding citizen!

  • first i thought there was a bomb in the box

  • We all pay for our arrogance. Some more then...anyone else feel like Doe "misinterpreted" what was wrong with the sin Gluttony? I was hoping for a line like"A disgusting man whos tuesday lunch could feed an african family for a month!"Instead,he goes on about how if you saw him with your friends, you would point and laugh.Guess its also him trying to imagine ordinary life,to have friends to laugh with. The combination wealthy, intelligent, legally insane and cruel was a real bummer for Mills.

  • What does Freeman say at 1:38?

  • @shootingstar694 "If you murder a suspect, David, you'll just blow it all away for nothing."

  • @xocraziixo Thank you so much, that was driving me insane trying to figure it out :)

  • i dont think i would kill him. i would however shoot him in both kneecaps.

  • @BigPimp14 Just like Commisioner Gordon did when the Joker killed his wife.

  • @BigPimp14 You'd still be screwed because the crazy PC human rights group would be all over you!

  • @BigPimp14 Based on that comment you dont have any children. Or a wife.

  • @Franzuaa90 whether i have a wife or children is irrelevant. i have family members, but if i were in his position, there is a witness right there and all i wouldn't kill him. Because exactly what happened at the end of the movie would happen to me.

  • @BigPimp14 No it is not irrelevant. Then you wouldn't know , you couldn't even imagine what it would feel like to lose a wife or a child . I would have definetly shot the guy dead to that place.

  • @BigPimp14 Yes, both kneecaps... and the balls, lol

  • @BigPimp14 really could have lived with yourself knowing you only shot him in the knees after he sliced your sweethearts head off? i sure wouldnt..

  • @BigPimp14 i agree.

though i would shoot his dick off ... shoot his kneecaps

then feed him his own dick and well ill let your imagination continue ;D

  • What's in the box?! What's in the box?!

  • if you put a guy in jail for this - you are an idiot

  • Check out the chase scene from se7en - youtube.com/watch?v=2IF9VbQTUE4

  • dumbs up if HIMYM brings u here

  • When I watched this for the first time the ending blew me away

  • this was so sad :(

  • Somebody call somebody

  • i didnt know dr cox can drive a helicopter

  • Really? I don't think he won pretty sure his brain got splattered all over the floor. Usually the point to life isn't getting your brain splattered all over the floor because you essentially have a childish sense of moral perspective =/

  • Her pretty head....of lettu-*BANG*

  • 2:54 shows her head in the box this movie was crazy as fck.

  • @momonami5 you don't see any head in a box.. You see her face, just like you've seen her head in the rest of the movie.. No blood, no box, no nothing :P

  • This is one of the most underrated movies ever made.

  • I love reading comments by people who were small children or sometimes not even born when the movies they just saw came out. It shows that great art like film can be has an impact that spans the generations.

  • @sexycodyboy I cried from the ending

  • Why didnt morgan freeman shoot him instead?

  • @BlowBackBenny because secretly as a negro he was obliged to protect evil.

  • @BlowBackBenny, Actually the original ending had Morgan Freeman's character shooting Pitt to stop him. There was also another ending with Freeman shooting John Doe to sacrifice himself so Pitt couldn't shoot him. Both Pitt and Freeman refused to promote the movie if this ending (scene above) wasn't used. IMO this ending fits the whole tone of the movie better.

  • @awkwardbarry I'm just 16, I'm still so young to understand!

  • So stupid... why shot him in the head?

i would shot him in his dick, then the knee, and then break his hands and paralyze him for life. Why kill him? thats the easy way... stupid brad pitt...

  • @Gouki6669 You are aware this is a movie, right?

  • @SeamusCalder haha ofcs i am. But still...... A movie in most cases portait real life. Now i bet nothing happend exacly like this movie turned out. But alot of shit happends around the world and im sure something similar happend too somone.

And still i think the villan got away too easy in the end, was hoping for him to suffer! :P

  • can someone tell me what Morgan Freeman says at 1:38?

  • I would have shot him in the knee caps then the arms and three times in the chest.

  • "Oh God! Uhhh God! Oh my GOD!" . . . o_O

  • @2:50

synonym for feeling bad. Very bad.

  • freeman. he's great

  • Why are people calling Pitt's performance in this scene "whiny"? He just found out his wifes head is in a fucking box. I'm glad he didn't do the usual tough guy scowl and yell really loud. He's actually a man in a horrible situation, but doesn't quite want to accept his wifes demise. Pitt may not have been the actor he is now, but this movie proved he wasn't just a pretty face.

  • Kevin Spacey EPIC BRILLIANT ACTOR!!!!!

  • poor gwyneth :(

  • Best movie ending EVER. I'm not seeing any other movie top this ending.

  • i would have shoot him a dozen times in the legs.

  • Somebody call somebody

  • Does Kevin Spacey's character say, "I just told you" or "He just told you?"

  • Does Kevin Spacey's character say, "I just told you" or "He just told you."

  • i would shoot him in his left leg, then in his right leg, then both arms 5 times, reload, shoot him 1 time in his stomach and then 5 times in every finger of his right hand then i would kill myself with the last bullet!

  • Ok, I love Morgan Freeman, but fuck him, that psychopath deserved to die, but shoot him in the neck or beat the shit outta him, not the head, too quick.

  • This ending was AWESOME!

  • 11 people don't know what is in the BOOOOOOOX!!!

  • Honest to god... If I was Brad in this I wouldnt kill him too. not with gun tho.. too quick

  • I wish Brad Pitt played more good roles like this. Fight Club and 12 Monkeys were the only other two movies I like him in

  • @hadiez12345 You didn't like his portrayal of Jesse James?

  • @Cain8262 I actually haven't seen that movie, didn't even know he was in it

  • @hadiez12345 You should check it out. In my opinion, it's Pitt's best performance so far. It's also a great film. Here's a little taste. watch?v=uNBfcnVUahY

  • @Cain8262 I'm def gonna watch it, looks good. I still think that this performance will beat any others though: watch?v=wcztDZ13TLI

  • @hadiez12345 What about ''the strange case of Benjamin Button''?

  • louis... i mean morgan freeman shouts pills at the beginning

  • you have to admit that Pitt was pretty awesome here: "awwwwwh good! Ahhhh!"

  • somebody call somebody

    why don't u call somebody ....

  • WHAT'S IN THE BOOOOOX

  • brad pitt needs a hug :,(

  • "Whats in the boooox??" ahah

  • If you pause really quickly 2:54, you can see a picture of her

  • Somerset & John Doe: "April Fools! The box was empty!" *everyone starts laughing as the credits roll*

  • Sesevenen was such a great movie! fantastic ending with great acting.

  • he just shot him?Call me a sick bastard but i would have tortured him.

  • such a fucking brutal scene

  • And THUS Fight Club was created!

  • @jakxcombat After the prison time he serves, Brad Pitt's real name is Tyler Durden, and he goes to bother Edward Norton. amen.

  • Never saw paltrow flashed on the screen until i read about subliminal messaging on wikipedia gotta love david fincher

  • I WONDER WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO INSPECTOR MILLS AFTER HE SHOT KEVIN SPACEY, WILL HE GOES TO JAIL BECAUSE HE DIDNT HAVE THE RIGHT TO SHOT HIM ? ACCORDING TO ME, MILLS IS GONNA STOP HIS CAREER BUT HE WONT HAVE SOME TROUBLES WITH JUSTICE.

    WHAT'S YOUR OPINION ?

  • man thats a tough question i hope he got no time but is gonna need psykey HELP ASAP

  • i love how the director inserts a single scene of paltrow's character, after that, the decision is made. i know it would be for me.

  • Spacey creeps me out... amazing actor

  • I just watched this movie and it was EXCELLENT! By far, the best thriller film I have ever seen! In this scene, I thought it was gonna be either the wife's heart or the baby or something, I honestly was not expecting the head. Oo god, what a fucking disgusting/horrific thing to do to someone. I don't blame Brad Pitt for killing that sicko!!

  • @nice678900 so the baby or the heart of the wife would be a less disgusting thing? oO

  • i like the ending from hemingway

  • i don't think i would kill him if i found out he killed my wife and soon to be kid i would make him feel the pain i would have felt even if thats a weird thing to say that is what i would do i wouldn't let him get off that easy.

  • @Hazlett5551 Well, you have to understand, his wife was basically the only ray of sunshine in his life. And since that was taken away, he was pissed. Not to mention to find out your wife was preggars and he not only took the life of your wife but your unborn child to.

  • I regret watching this movie so fucking much. All because of this last scene. Imagine standing right in front of the dude who decapitated your wife and threw her head in a box then getting that piece of information right there and then... shit makes my fucking stomach hurts.

  • the masterpiece of a criminal genius mind...

people like this go above the law.

as already proven, one person alone has the potential to change the world to worse

  • did spacey get an oscar nomination for this?

  • Incredible from Kevin Spacey.

  • the only time in the film there's sunshine

  • Now that he killed a suspect , what is to happen to Mills according to legislation or laws ??

  • @BlackSad83500 The chair...

  • @gringodeltoro1 what chair? as another one said, there is a thing called temporary insanity. no judge would sentence a man to death in this situation

  • @BlackSad83500 He wouldn't spend a day in prison. Temporary insanity.

  • People keep saying that Pitt was great in Fight Club. Although his acting wasn't laughably bad like it was in this movie, it wasn't anything special. People are so infatuated with the character that they inflate Pitt's performance. Norton owned that movie.
