Not only that, it's on 6-6-06, and it's the first time Danzig's played the song onstage since 1981 (I think that's the date he gives at the beginning) Pure awesomeness.

According to both Jerry Only, Bobby Steele, Franche Coma and various other sources, Misfits never played 'American Nightmare' back in the day of the original Misfits. Glenn is talking shit here. The Newfits/'Fits have done it numerous times though.

Well Static Age wasn't released until 1997, but the album was originally recorded in 1978. That doesn't mean they never played any of those songs live, right? Besides, LoB was a compilation album. American Nightmare could have been played live, just never recorded until '85.
@raisestandards Static Age was a re-release compilation of some older demos and collected cuts from other albums. This song was originally released on Legacy of Brutality. The wikipedia entry is all fucked up.
