Junk and Back was Rockin in the Nineties. Groovers was rockin the early ninties, but wasnt the same after Jeff and Dave left. Essence was different from the Funk and Benny Era. Not as good in my opinion. White Boy didnt have that Ummph that Funk or Benny had. Thank god for Grown and Sexy Gogo. Faces, Suttle, Lissen. etc. cause that Beat ya Feat that the youngins listening to. Not feeling it. Gotta have my congos and pockets. Just one mans opinion. and BJ was tight. @sgs6330 not feelin u on that cuz. They have a following though that like that kind of gogo they play. I think they keep their congos to high that water sound is irritating when it is your staple sound. I loved the groover girls and Kyree thats the only reason I would listen is for kyree. Owe and my favorite how fast they come out of their grooves...I hate that. In the 90s most bands were not even that good anymore. Back and Junk was killing at the ibex but other than that RE was on a decline.

I mean you had NEG at the Metroclub,Blackhole,ICEBOX ,Sugarkane and etc. Then u had junkyard at the Ibex,taj mahal ,metroclub Sugar Kane, Paragon etc. Then u had Backyard at the Ibex,Icebox,metroclub,sugar kane,black hole Denos,etc. RE was at the Triples,Metroclub,Blackhole and the Eastside all these places stayed jammed pack in the 90s period i dont agree with ur comment 90s CRANKED

I said Back and Junk destroyed the 90s Groovers def had a strong following but the way they played as a musician and music appreciater I did not particularly like them aside from Kyree and the fight song. But u r talkin to a gogo head from the 70's I have seen it from the beginning to now, RE has declined over the years but they r still RE so they will always have their crowd. But after funk left they cranked in spots. thats only 4 bands 80's it was 20
