  • Thank you!!!! THANK YOU!!!

  • @Jonathan224537 Glad to help! :)

  • it's fine when i play only chords. but when i sing and play at the same time, it's really a mess for me.

  • @SangPham1212 Thats ok, just keep playing the guitar until you don't have to think about it so that your mind is free to sing. Then give yourself many days and nights because your subconscience mind will keep working on this until one day you will be able to sing and play the song. I just takes time and practice. Anyone can do it if they put enought time and practice... I call it passion! :)

  • @KingsBladeUSA Thank you so much for your advice.

  • What's that thing under the head of your guitar?

  • @KaidaMMA It's a capo to raise the key up like Avril does! :)

  • @sports123ddannaa You don't need a teacher when you have the internet! I quit playing for 25 years and then I started playing again because of Youtube! I am happy have inspired you to play again. Your guitar is one friend that will never let you down! :)

  • aaww your daughter should be very proud of her talented father :)

  • @EllieChan84 Thanks! :)

  • How does the strumming go? Im beginner so I cant hear it :S Is it something like down down down up down?? I really dont have a clue

  • @juupossimpible There are a few more videos on this song. I have tried to explain to people that strumming is very personal. It may vary from one person to another, especially if you are singing along. Every guitarist may strum it a little differently but it is important that the tempo and the chord changes are acurate. Learning strumming takes practice on your part. You must learn to listen and figure it out to fit your own style. It will take some time, but it is time well spent. Thanks! :)

  • hey whats the strumming pattern for the bridge?

  • Thanks for breaking this down.

  • @theolonius12 No Problem! Glad to help! :)

  • "And this is mainly for my daughter Britney, I love you and miss you and I hope that you'll study this song so we can play it together when you get here...." so sweet, I want to have such a dad too but mine is just evil :(

Very good job I think, keep it up :)

  • @DeineOmaHeisstHeinz Thanks, I am sorry to hear about your Dad! :(

  • @KingsBladeUSA

Yeah... anyway, tell your daughter she can be proud of you :)

  • @DeineOmaHeisstHeinz Thanks! :)

  • @laurewilso Glad to help! :)

  • This was very helpful thank you! But on some parts it was a bit confusing as you skipped parts in the songs but I get why you were doing that, thank you!

  • @gikate66 There are 3 more videos on this song. Maybe they would help! :)

  • what's the tempo?

  • @PUSleakingCLIT Not on this song, but we did My Happy Ending! :)

  • Where's the intro? :-(

  • @VickyLuthienTinuviel I think it's on the 4th video

  • @KingsBladeUSA Thank you.

  • Hey thanks so much for sharing this with all of us! I am a girl of about your daughters age as well! This helped me so much, I am just learning and this was really easy to pick up!

  • @NumeralNerd You are welcome. I am happy to help! :)

  • I really thought the G chord was played with a finger on the third fret of the e string (bottom string)

  • @LoveyoulessJess There are many ways to build a chord. The G major chord can be built by using any note combination of the Gmaj scale: C - D - E - F - G - A - B - C. In the example, I just substituded the b with a repeating note D with my ring finger on the second string 3 fret. This is still a Gmaj chord (less the b note). I hope this helps. Thanks! :)

  • @KingsBladeUSA Oh ok

  • @KingsBladeUSA Oh Ok, I'm bit of a dummy with the whole notes and chords thing, so please don't think I was trying to say you were wrong.

Oh, I meant to say before, great video, I really love this song too but I could never figure out the strumming pattern, but now I got it thanks:)

  • @LoveyoulessJess No Problem, Thanks AGain! :)

  • Im 14 too, i wish my dad knew how to play guitar too! lol -__-

  • @meliisprecious123 Thanks! :)

  • Hi! Thanks for putting this on Youtube ! your daughter is truly lucky :) i have solo auditions for my school to show my friends my talent but this will be the first time i ever play a guitar (so i wanna sound AWESOME ^.^) ok let me get to my question before you stop reading XD On the strumming do you strum all the way through or only the string your fingers are on . thank you and have a nice day ^_^

  • is it ok if i play acoustic guitar without a pick???

  • @naughtyangel36 Yes, you can play it any way you want! :)

  • @KingsBladeUSA ok thank you!:)

  • sorry but can someone tell me the chords in order i got a bit confused

  • your girl is ssssooooo lucky to have you as her dad (sorry for my english)

  • @StayinVN Thanks, I am lucky to have her as a daughter! :)

  • @9Suso6 Thanks! :)

  • thank you for making this. I've had a guitar for about 3 years now and my dad used to play but he doesnt anymore and hes too cheap to buy me lessons and even though one of my electives in school is guitar i feel like i need to be challeneged more and this song is one of my favorites and, well, just ty 4 makin this (im not good wit learning strum patterns. it took me 4ever 2 learn elenor rigby and thats vry easy)

  • @kewlsweetheart You're welcome. Don't feel bad, I never had a guitar lesson either, but now I have the internet! Stay with it and you will get better and better (at a faster rate). Thanks! :)

  • wish my dad taught me how to learn guitar

  • @ForestForever I wish my daughter wanted to play! :)

  • @KingsBladeUSA aww that would seriously be disappointing :(

  • when i play a chord my left hand fingers should push the strings down to the fret??

  • @naughtyangel36 Learning the technique to play a chord requires some practice. You need to move your thumb, wrist, elbow and shoulders around until you find a comfortable way to press the strings down to the fret. Often you will need to press down with the side of your 1st finger. Keep practicing. It's normal for your forearm, wrist and thumb to hurt a little, so don't overdo it! :)

  • you're awesome, you made this in very simple way and now i can play this :)

  • @Makoification Cool, I am glad to help! :)

  • thank you:)

  • Do u know which acoustic Avril uses?

  • @naughtyangel36 She has many guitars. I really don't know which one she uses most?

  • @KingsBladeUSA Oh well do u know if she has a fender and which?

  • @naughtyangel36 I know she uses a Fender Telecaster Squire

  • I still don't get the strumming..

  • @Luvlasts4ever I have a capo on the first fret. That is the way Avril plays it! :)

  • thank you so much! I wished to study this song! Seems preety easy, it was my second guitar lesson today but i guess ill handle this song after trying over and over again. Thank you a lot, I really appreciate this video))

  • @davash420 Thanks

  • i dont get the strumming in that part " shes lost inside" isnt it diferent how do u go? down down up down?

  • @wnunoc I have 4 videos on this song :)

  • @wnunoc here's my tip for u.. when you do the strumming.. do not mind how are you gonna play the pattern... first, u familiarize the song by listening ; then when you strum, just let your hand move... and you'll notice you're actually going with the beat... also try playing the guitar together with the song....

  • Thanks. Love it. :)
