  • HBO spent considerable time on the Bill/Sookie pairing. Bill saved her life, not Eric. Bill in the show works at his humanity, & has a heart that can still cry for the family he lost. But Eric in the show hasn't been human for a thousand years, tortured Lafayette, and could care less about mainstreaming or being human.

Bill was a brave American soldier, a family man. What was Eric? A viking who raped and murdered. Even as a human, Eric was despicable.

  • Read the books. Bill is an asshole. And I have a feeling he's going to end up being an asshole on the show too.

    <3 Eric!! ^_^

  • You have to remember that Bill in the show is very different from Bill in the books. Yeah, Bill is hiding stuff from her, but I'm very sure that in that scene, he was thinking about Uncle Bartlett. Things will be different. You saw what he did with the Lafayette thing. And Alan Ball has actually said a few times that Bill/Sookie is THE CORE AND HEART of the show, so.... things will be different. Sorry, haha

  • Yeah, okay, no.

    *******SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!**********

    S1-9 "Plaisir D'Amour"

    **Eric's Office**

    Bill: "Sookie must be protected."

Eric: "Now, that sounds like and edict, but it can't be because I WOULD KNOW ABOUT THAT."

Queen Sophie-Anne SENT BILL to protect Sookie, to see if she was valuable. And didn't tell Eric.

  • He also implies to Liam, Malcom and Diane that he could go to the Queen if he needed to as a "higher authority". He's WORKING FOR HER and is only in Bon Temps because of her.

You can hope things will be different all you like, but Alan Ball also said he likes keeping to the core story in the books because they work so well.

  • You have to remember that Bill in the show is very different from Bill in the books. Sure, he has alot of hings he'snot telling Sookie about, but in that moment, he was thinking about her Uncle. That was what he was not telling her. I haven't read the books fullky, I have skimmed through some of them, but I know everything that happens and from what I have read, Bill is way better in the show.

  • Yeah, I was pretty stoked it wasn't Lafayette, as well. hahaha

  • lol ur awesome yea i was all wheres Eric ppl as well, and yea bill is an ass he was so lying and u can tell just by the way he said no. i cant wait for eric/sookie moments!
