And i doubt it takes 10 years to play the solo, Maybe about 3-4 years depending on how dedicated you are and if you usually play metal. And besides, it was a question, chill out.

How can you say how long it takes a person to learn something when you only have your personal, and maybe a few other people's experiences to draw from? Do you play guitar? If you do cool but if not, i'd find it very peculiar that you're so sure of yourself when it comes to these things. And some people learn better with visual aids. Yes! Even musicians can benefit from them.

But your average guitar player probably won't go from 0 to megadeth solos in 3 years. @DethLoverChic06 I always watch Guitar videos, including Lil Waynes. And since Youtube is the place for amateurs, i usually find the people that do like and play metal can play these solos in 3 years time, Just passable, not perfect. There are Some that are able to do it perfectly but it's not as common. I mean a lot can get done skill wise in 3 years time on guitar. Hell a lot can get done in a month's time skill wise on guitar.

@Friendpersonkid Yes, I understand that a lot can be done in three years time. But solos are only one aspect of playing guitar and music overall. I've come across plenty of people on youtube who can bust out a technically difficult solo from another artist but their original tunes were lacking in some way. They are shredding,and there's that 'wow' factor but it fails to speak to the soul and get any kind of musical idea across. I'd rather be able to make a thoughtful,complete song..

Turn the light switch back on and think. I mean, you're learning music and how to play instruments so it shouldn't be too hard to comprehend.

I mean, solos when you're creating a song aren't that important and yes they are only one aspect of a guitar, thanks for pointing out the obvious. But when you're doing a cover of another song unless you put rhythm guitar only, people are going to expect the lead guitar and all the fancy finger work that comes with it, 1. Because they like watching that sort of thing, or 2. Some may want to learn. or 3. which would be other.

According to you, people don't need videos to learn how to play songs they love, and I don't have a 3 but, I didn't say solos were unimportant when it comes to creating songs. You're kind of missing my point. And I'm not rambling. I'm trying to have a damn discussion about music, something I love and have a lot to say about.

Now if you were doing a cover that changed this song and was your interpretation of the song then it would be understandable. But i guess you're too rebellious by not playing the solos while covering a song. Your point are more along the lines of creativity which is irrelevent here because all we were talking about was your skill level.

I don't like a video any less if it's only rhythm. They're only presenting that unless stated otherwise. I only brought up creativity to make a point about what a person spends their time on.

But apparently, that doesn't sit well with you. Skipping solos is something that generally unskilled peopel tend to do.
