The guy on the left is "insufferable". He seems to think he is "that cool". I don't think he even understood Inglorious Basterds. The spelling was on purpose. The stories did gel because the movie is about glorification. I can't stand it when people bash a movie and a director this strongly and arrogantly when they don't even understand what they are bashing.

Mike Myers is in the movie because his scene it is important to the plot and it is a bit of a Dr. Strangelove-ish parody of the british and Myers helps to keep from taking it seriously. Each Story line is an aspect of Glorified violence and its power to change history. The Basterds commit violence to insight fear but not for glory. Landa has a reputation and is also glorified but in the end betrays his ideals for Glory, but is stripped of it. Zoller tries to use his glory to get the girl...etc

Great Test show! I also wanted to know why have Mike Myers in this film and that throwaway part? QT should release the 6-8 hr cut on the dvd (did he?) and let us see the missing stuff he shot. Liked the movie but it's not even close to Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill I & II
